Step 4. Once you have the DoSvc folder highlighted, move to the right side and look for an entry named Start.
Step 5. Double-click on Start to edit its value.
Step 6. In the Edit window, change the Value data to 3.
Then, click on OK.
Step 7. Now go back to your Xbox app and cancel all the pending installations here.
Reboot your computer.
After the system starts up, look for the game you want in the Xbox app and try installing it.
Method 2 – Check the Date, Time Zone, and Region Settings
Step 1. Right-click on the date at the right end of your system tray on your taskbar.
Select Adjust date and time.
Step 2. Turn on the toggle associated with Set time automatically.
Step 3. Select the right time zone using the dropdown next to Time zone.
Step 4. Now, click on the Sync now button in the Additional settings.
Step 5. Click on Language & Region at the bottom.

Method 4 – Delete the Microsoft Store Local Cache Files
Step 1. Open the File Explorer using Windows + E key combination.
Step 2. Copy and paste the path below into the File Explorer’s navigation bar.
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe
Step 3. Once you are in the above Microsoft Store folder, right-click on the LocalCache folder and tap on the Delete (bin) icon to remove the folder.
Step 4. Restart your computer after the folder is deleted.
After the system starts up, check if the error code is fixed.
Method 5 – Repair/Reset the Xbox App and Microsoft Store
Step 1. Hit the Windows key on your keyboard and type in Xbox in the search box.
Step 2. Right-click on Xbox App in the search result and choose App settings.
Step 3. On the page that opens, scroll down to the Reset section.
Step 4. Click on the Repair button which will repair the app without deleting the app’s data.

Install Xbox Identity Provider
Step 1. Click to download Xbox Identity Provider.

Step 4. This opens up Store and if the app is not installed you will see the Get button.
If it is not installed then, click on Get.

Uninstall and Reinstall Gaming Services
Step 1. Tap on the Windows Start button on your taskbar and type powershell in the search box.
Step 2. Right-click on Windows PowerShell in the search result and choose Run as administrator.
When prompted by UAC for permissions click on Yes.
Step 3. Copy-paste the following command and hit Enter to uninstall the remains of Gaming services.
get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
Step 4. Now, copy-paste the below command and hit Enter.
start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
Step 5. This opens Microsoft Store on your PC with the Gaming services page.
Step 6. Now, click on Install to install the Gaming Services.
Wait for it to download and complete the installation.
Check if the error is fixed while installing the game.
Method 8 – Check all Related Services
Step 1. Press Windows + R to open Run.
Step 2. Type services.msc and hit Enter to open Services.
Step 3. In the list of services, look for Delivery Optimization.
In the Status column, check if it is Running.
If it is not Running, then right-click on the service and click on Start.
If it is already running, then right-click and select Restart to restart the service.
Step 4. Look for service IP Helper in the list.
Double-click on it to open its Properties.
Change the Startup type to Automatic.
Click on Apply.
If the service is not running, then click on the Start button.
Lastly, click on OK to save the changes.
Step 5. Repeat Step 4 for the services listed below.

Gaming services
Windows Update
Microsoft Store install service
Background Intelligent Transfer Service
Step 6. Now, open the Store/Xbox app and check if you are able to install the game.
Method 9 – Run the WSRESET Command
Step 1. Hit the Windows key on your keyboard.
Type wsreset in the Windows search box.
Step 2. Click on wsreset in the search results.
Step 3. The above command opens a black prompt window.
The tool resets or clears Microsoft Store without changing any settings or deleting any apps.
Wait for it to complete execution.
Once complete, the black window closes and Microsoft Store opens up.
Check if you are able to install the game.
Method 10 – Uninstall and Re-install Xbox App/Store
Step 1. In the Windows search box, type xbox.
Step 2. Right-click on Xbox app and choose Uninstall.

Step 5. Type powershell and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to open PowerShell as administrator.
Step 6. Copy and paste the below command and hit Enter.
Get-AppxPackage -allusers WindowsStore | Remove-AppxPackage
Step 7. Reboot your PC after Windows Store is uninstalled.
Step 8. After the system starts up, open PowerShell again.
Step 9. Copy-paste the command below and hit Enter.
Get-AppxPackage -allusers WindowsStore | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
Step 10. Once Store is reinstalled, you can open it.
Step 11. Search for Xbox app.
Then, click on the Get button to install it.
Step 12. Check if the game installation works without any errors.
Method 11 – Try Installing the Game to Different Drive
Step 1. Press Windows + I to open Settings.
Step 2. With the System tab selected in the left pane, click on Storage on the right.
Step 3. Click on Advanced Storage Settings in the Storage Management section.
Step 4. Then, click on Where new content is saved.
Step 5. Use the dropdown below New apps will save to and change the drive.
If you were trying to install it on the C drive, then try changing this to a different drive letter.
If you were trying to install it on some other drive, then choose C drive here.
After making the above change, try installing the game.
Rename WpSystem and WindowsApps folder
Step 1. Open File Explorer and navigate to the D drive.
Step 2. In order to rename WpSystem, right-click on it and choose Properties.
Step 3. Go to the Security tab.
Click on the Advanced button.
Step 4. In Advanced Security Settings, click on the Change link next to Owner.
Step 5. Type Everyone in the box below Enter the object name to select.
Click on Check names.
Finally, click on OK.
Step 6. Back in Advanced Security Settings, check the box next to Replace owner on sub containers and objects.
Click on Apply and then on OK.
Click on OK in any other dialogs that appear.
Step 7. Again, open the WpSystem Properties window.
Click on Advanced in the Security tab.
Step 8. Now, click on Add below Permission entries.
In the Permission Entry window, click on Select a Principal.
Step 9. Repeat Step 5 as above to add a user or group.
Step 10. Back in the Permission Entry window, check the box next to Full Control under Basic permissions.
Then, click on OK.
Step 11. Click on Apply and then on OK in the Advanced Security Settings window.
Step 12. Rename the folder WpSystem to WpSystem.old
Step 13. Take ownership of the WindowsApps folder in D drive following steps 2 to 12 above.
Then, rename it to WindowsApps.old.
Note:
If you see any error while renaming saying that a file is open, then open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc).
Locate Gaming Servies and click on End task.
Go to the Services app and Stop the Gaming Services.
After renaming you can start the service again.
Method 12 – Use TLS
Step 1. Open Run using Windows + R.
Step 2. Type inetcpl.cpl and hit Enter to open Internet Properties.
Step 3. Go to the Advanced tab.
Step 4. Check all the boxes next to Use TLS 1.0, Use TLS 1.1, Use TLS 1.2, and Use TLS 1.3
Step 5. Click on Apply and then on OK.
Step 6. Try installing the game to check if the error code is fixed.
