“Website is online but it is not responding to connection attempts” when this error occurs the user will not able to access the website. And this error is displayed when the user runs the troubleshooter. Well, the error is displayed but the solution will not be suggested in the troubleshooter window. The error can be because of proxy servers, incorrect network settings, enabled add-ons, etc. In this article, we will learn a few methods by which one can easily resolve this issue.
Method 1: Disable The Proxy Server
Step 1: Open the Windows Settings using Windows + I keys together
Step 2: Click on Network & Internet
Step 3: On the left side, click on Proxy
Step 4: Enable Automatically detect settings by clicking on the toggle bar below it
Step 5: Turn off the Proxy server by clicking on the toggle bar below Use a proxy server
Step 6: Restart the system and check if the issue is solved.
Method 2: Reset TCP/IP and DNS
Step 1: Open the Command prompt in administrator mode. To do this, type cmd in the windows search bar and hold Ctrl + Shift keys then hit enter.
Step 2: Copy the below command, paste it in the command prompt and hit enter
netsh int ip reset
Step 3: Wait for the execution process to complete.
Step 4: Again, copy the below command, paste it in the command prompt and hit enter
ipconfig /flushdns
Step 5: Once the execution is complete, restart the computer and check if the error is resolved.
Method 3: Disable the Add-ons
If you are using the Google Chrome browser then follow the below steps
Step 1: Open the new tab in the browser and on the top right corner click on the three dotsĀ
Step 2: Click on More tools from the appeared list
Step 3: Then from the fly out option click on Extensions
Step 4: The opened window will have your installed add-ons, click on Remove button
Step 5: Restart the system and check if the issue is solved.
If you are using the Firefox browser then follow the below steps
Step 1: Open the new tab in the browser and on the top right corner click on the three dotsĀ
Step 2: Step 2: Click on Add-ons and themes
Step 3: On the left click on Extensions
Step 4: The opened window will have your installed add-ons, click on the three dots of the add-on then select Remove from the list
Method 4: Reset The Network
Step 1: Open the Windows Settings using Windows + I keys together
Step 2: Click on Network & Internet
Step 3: By default, Status page will be opened. At the right side, scroll down and click on Network reset
Step 4: Click on the Reset now button. This will re-install all the network adapters.
Step 5: Once done, restart the system and the error will no more exist.
