In Windows, the basic (or ‘Required’) Diagnostic data is sent to Microsoft as user feedback. While facing a critical system failure or due to anything else, you can opt to send the full (or, ‘Optional’) amount of diagnostics to analyze and further solution. But, some Windows users are facing this odd issue where they can’t just opt to send a ‘Full’ amount of diagnostic data to Microsoft. This may be because the option is disabled by the administrator or, there is some issue with the Connected User Experience.
NOTE –
The ‘Basic’ and ‘Full’ options have changed in Windows 11. Windows automatically send the required diagnostic data. But, you can choose whether to send the optional diagnostic data.

4. Then, right-click on the service and tap on “Properties“.
5. Here, click on the drop-down icon beside the “Startup type:” to “Automatic“.
6. Then, tap on “Start” to start the service.
7. Finally, click on “Apply” and “OK“.
Now, close the Services window. Then, restart your computer. Now, check whether you can change the diagnostics data settings.
If you still can’t do it, follow these steps –
1. Press the Windows key+R keys together.
2. Then, type “services.msc” and click on “OK“.
3. Now, scroll down a bit to locate the “Device Management Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) Push message Routing Service” service.

Then, close the Services window. After that, reboot the system. After rebooting the system, whether you can turn on the “Set the optional diagnostic data” in the ‘Diagnostics & Feedback’ settings.
If it still doesn’t work out, you have to do this –
1. Open the Services.
2. Then, locate and right-click on the “Windows Insider Service” and tap on “Properties“.
3. Now, set the ‘Startup type:’ to “Automatic” again.
4. Then, click on “Start” to start the service on your computer.
5. Finally, tap on “OK” to save the settings.
Check whether this works for you or not.
Fix 2 – Modify the Group Policy
The system administrators can allow/block the Telemetry service on your computer.
1. At first, press the Windows key+R keys together.
2. Then, type “gpedit.msc” and click on “OK“.
