In some parts of the world, the day is more extended by about 1 hour during the autumn or summer, and the day is shorter in winters. This affects the clock in the Windows system and can distract people using it. So there is a feature in the Windows system called daylight saving time that appears to be greyed out and many Windows users are unable to use or turn on this feature.
This may be because of the reason that they might have set the wrong time zone which does not need the daylight saving time feature hence it shows greyed out.
You can also enable this feature by forcing the system to do it by changing the registry file on the system. Don’t worry if you are also facing this issue. We have explained the two methods with which you can easily resolve the issue and able to use the daylight saving time feature on your Windows PC.

Before you proceed, we request you export the registry file to the system because only then you may be able to revert back the registry file back. If something goes wrong while editing, the system may get destroyed and might cause severe problems.
Step 1: Press the Windows and R keys together on the keyboard to open the run console.
Step 2: Type regedit in the run box and press Enter.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation
Step 5: This will take you to the registry key called TimeZoneInformation on the left side panel.
Step 6: On the right side of the registry editor window, you can find a Dword value called DynamicDaylightTimeDisabled.
Step 7: Double-click on it to open its edit properties window.
