Is the Safari browser not saving the cookies on your iPhone? When you visit a website, it stores some of your important site data in the browser. The inability to store site cookies in the Safari browser can fetch uninviting situations like, increased website loading time, logging you out from websites. These are a few tweaks you need to impose on the Safari settings to fix the issue.
Fix 1 – Turn off the Block All Cookies option
If the Cookie blocker is enabled in the Safari settings, all the cookies will get blocked in the due process.
Step 1 – Open the iPhone’s Settings and go all the way down to the “Apps” part.
Step 2 – Go to the “Safari” app and open it up.
Step 3 – In the Safari settings, go all the way down to find and open the “Advanced” settings.
Step 4 – In there, turn off the “Block All Cookies” option in there.
None of the website cookies will get blocked in this process. Go to a website, and it will ask you for the website cookies. Once you give permission, Safari will start to store the web cookies onboard.
Fix 2 – Disable the Cross site tracking prevention mode
Apart from the cookie blocker modifier, the Cross Site tracking prevention modifier can get into the way of Safari storing up the cookies.
Step 1 – You need to go to the Settings page once again.
Step 2 – Thereafter, open the “Apps” pane.
Step 3 – Just like before, open the “Safari” app page.
Step 4 – Once you reach there, in the ‘Privacy & Security’ tab, turn off the “Prevent Cross Site Tracking” feature.
Once you have done that, Safari will start to store the website cookies. Do check whether this works or not.
Fix 3 – Uninstall or disable third-party Antivirus apps
Are you using any third-party antivirus software or any other app of the same type? Some Antivirus apps on your iPhone can block the Safari from keeping the website cookies on your iPhone.
Step 1 – Find the app icon on the Home Screen.
Step 2 – Once you have found that antivirus application, hold down it and tap “Remove App“.
Step 3 – Your iPhone will show you a warning message. Tap the “Delete App” in there to remove the application from your iPhone.
Once you have removed the app, return to the Safari and reach the website, there.
Open up the website of your choice and check if the website is storing the cookie data on your iPhone or not. Hope these tricks have worked.
NOTE – We have shown the process of removing the antivirus app from your device. If you don’t want to uninstall the antivirus, you can pause or disable antivirus and test this out.
