HP claims to output the best quality pages when you are using an HP printer. But, this is not the case for some users as they are getting low quality printed pages from their HP printer. There are some external factors that influence the printing quality. The list of solutions mentioned here will improve the quality of printed pages significantly.
Fix 1 – Change the print quality
You can change the print quality directly from the printer quality settings directly from Windows.
Step 1 – Open up the Settings page on your computer.
Step 2 – Next, tap to open up the “Devices” settings.
Step 3 – On the left-hand pane, select the “Printers & scanners” settings.
Step 4 – You will find your printer on the right-hand tab. Tap to select the printer.
Step 5 – Tap “Manage” to open the printer settings.
Step 6 – Tap to open up the “Printer Properties” to open it up.
Step 7 – Go to the “Advanced” tab.
Step 8 – Tap the “Printing Defaults…” option to explore the printer default settings.
Step 9 – Choose to go to the “Paper/Quality” settings.
Step 10 – Set the “Quality Settings” to “Best” mode.
Step 11 – Then, save these using “OK” button.
After saving the changes, print a test page and check out the print quality.
Fix 2 – Use better paper to get better results
The printing quality may improve drastically if you use better quality of paper for your purpose. The actual quality of paper is slightly influenced by the GSM number. So, we suggest you use an 80-100 GSM quality to print your official documents. Consider changing the set of paper to improve the print quality.
Fix 3 – Clean up the printer
Unclear or partially clogged printer may produce low quality printed papers.
Step 1 – Turn off the printer and disconnect it from the power source.
Step 2 – Then, open up the printer slot where you will find the ink cartridges.
Step 3 – Carefully remove the ink cartridges from their cartridge slot. Remove all the ink cartridges.
Step 4 – Clean up the ink cartridges properly and place them properly in the runner head.
Step 5 – Check the runner and clean it up properly. Make sure there are not any obstruction or ink residues.
Step 6 – Reinsert the ink cartridges properly in their place.
Now, turn on the printer and try to print out some copies. You shall find a definite increase in the print quality.
Fix 4 – Maintain proper ink level
There must be enough ink left on the printer to produce top quality print copies.
NOTE – We have used HP Smart for this purpose.
Step 1 – Launch the HP Smart on your computer.
Step 2 – In the HP Smart app, select the printer that you are working with. You will see the ink level directly on your screen.
If the ink level is considerably low, you must use new cartridges or refill the ink tanks (if you are using that type of printer) to get better quality printed pages.
Fix 5 – Check the printable file
If the source quality of the printable file is itself low, you can’t expect better print results with them. You can’t expect the printable file to be of the highest quality if the file that you are printing is of a low quality. You can use a different upscaled file for a better print result. This way, you will get better print results.
