Microsoft Teams won’t load – How to fix

Having some problem with Teams getting stuck on your computer? Some of the users have expressed their frustrations in multiple forums, while the Teams have stopped functioning on their computers. It seems that Teams app does cease to load the app components abruptly while trying to join a meeting or initiating one.

 

Fix 1 – Clear the MS Teams cache

You must empty out the Microsoft Store Teams cache to solve the problem.

Step 1 – Quit the current window of MS Teams.

Step 2 – Tap the arrow button on the taskbar and quit Microsoft Teams as well.

Step 3 – Once you are done, open up the Task Manager from the taskbar.



Step 4 – Then, look for any Microsoft Teams processes and end them from there.

Step 5 – Open a run dialogue box and enter this address there and click OK.

Step 6 – Delete everything from this folder.

Step 7 – Open the Recycle Bin on your computer and empty that as well.

Now you can relaunch Teams and give it a try. You may have to sign in to your Microsoft Teams account again.

 

Fix 2 – Use the Teams on Web

Instead of relying on the teams desktop application, you should try using the Teams on web. Microsoft Teams has similar layout as it has on desktop application. So you don’t have to face any problem attending your calls on Teams on web.

Step 1 – Open up Google Chrome or any other browser of your choice.

Step 2 – Load up the Teams web client from there.

Step 3 – You have to login to Microsoft Teams using your own credentials.

NOTE – For future references and ease of access, you can just create a quick shortcut of the Microsoft Teams access link and place it up on your desktop. Later, you may just use that link to access Teams on the go.

 

Fix 3 – Reinstall Teams

If you’re still having any problem with teams, you should uninstall the current version of teams and reinstall it.

Step 1 – Search for teams from search box. Then right click Microsoft Teams from the search results, and tap uninstall directly from there.

Step 2 – Now, follow the on-screen steps to uninstall Microsoft Teams from your computer.

Step 3 – Once you have uninstalled Microsoft Teams, open up the Microsoft Store on your device.

Step 4 – Search for teams and reinstall it from there.

Although you have to log in into Microsoft Teams with your credentials, it should stop the issue that you are having.

 

Fix 4 – Add Teams to trusted sites list

You must add Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft service websites under the trusted list, if you are using Microsoft Teams on a web browser.

For Chrome users ~

Step 1 – Open up a new tab in Chrome and paste this, and hit enter.

Step 2 – In the Third party cookies section, select Allow third party cookies option.

Step 3 – Now, look for the Sites allowed to use third party cookies option and tap Add to add new websites.

Step 4 –  Paste these domains there one by one and click Add to add them to the trusted list of Chrome.

For Edge users ~

Step 1 – Paste this address directly on a new tab on MS Edge and reach Cookies settings.

Step 2 – Find the ‘Customized cookies behavior’ section. Tap Add site option in Allowed to save cookies panel.
