Microsoft Teams opening into a blank white screen – How to fix

Does the Microsoft Teams app on your computer opening up into a blank, white screen? Fix 1 – Update the EdgeWebView2 component

It seems that the problem is directly linked to the EdgeWevView2 component.

Step 1 – Reach the EdgeWebView2 Runtime webpage. Scroll down to the download section. Tap Download in Evergreen Bootstrapper box.

Or, you can use the standalone installer or fixed version to download and install the component.

Step 2 – Now open up the Downloads folder on your computer and find the setup that you have just downloaded. Run the EdgeView2Setup on your device.

Step 3 – Follow the on-screen steps to complete the installation.

A system reboot is recommended afterwards to finish up the whole thing. Microsoft Teams won’t open up in a blank, white screen again.

 

Fix 2 – Quit and restart MS Teams

We recommend that you try to quit and restart Microsoft Teams app.

Step 1 – First of all, close the Microsoft Teams app on your screen. This doesn’t necessarily close the Microsoft Teams app, it just minimizes it.
