Does the alarm go off continuously on your iPhone when you touch it? This problem may appear to be a weird issue, but it is nothing but a feature of your device. So, if you are waking up late as the iPhone alarm is getting silenced, this article is just for you.
Why this is happening on your iPhone?
iPhone’s ‘Attention Aware’ feature makes it attentive to certain gestures or motions of your iPhone. When this feature is active, iPhone realizes what you are trying to do or about to do and assist the user in that process. Just like, if you touch your mobile while the alarm is ringing at the morning, iPhone will understand what you are trying to do and mute the alarm.
These Attention Aware features can work both the ways and cause these type of problems. So, we recommend you disable the feature on your iPhone and the problem with the alarm
Fix 1 – Turn off the Attention Aware Feature
Disable the Attention Aware feature on your iPhone.
Step 1 – To do this, you must tap the gear-shaped ⚙ icon to get access to that.
Step 2 – Next, you have to go to the “Face ID & Passcode” settings.
iPhone does protect the sensitive part of the Settings by adding an extra layer of security.
Step 3 – So, when you are prompted to input your six digit Apple ID passcode, do that to proceed.
Step 4 – On the Face ID & Password page, find the “Attention-Aware Features” option and turn that off.
Your iPhone alarm won’t go off even when you touch the iPhone.
NOTE – We have given the example of alarm, but, there are other attention aware features your iPhone offers. So, if you experience any such unsolicited issues, you can re-enable the Attention Aware features on the device.
If you can’t disable the Attention Aware feature because it is greyed out, go for the next solution to fix that.
Fix 2 – Disable the Screen Distance
You can’t toggle the Attention Aware feature if the Screen Distance option is enabled. This won’t let change the Attention Aware feature condition.
Step 1 – To change this, you have to go to your iPhone’s Settings once again.
Step 2 – Find and open the “Screen Time” settings.
Step 3 – There, you have to find a feature known as “Screen Distance“. Open that up.
iPhone may ask for your verification. So, enter the 6-digit security key to open it up.
Step 4 – If there are any instruction note appears on the screen, ignore it and keep tapping the “Continue” button.
Step 5 – Do this until you reach the main Screen Distance settings page.
Step 6 – Finally, when you get there, turn off the “Screen Distance” feature.
Now, you can disable the Attention Aware Features mode, following the steps mentioned in the first solution.
