Does your iPad not turning on even after charging it for like couple of hours? When your iPhone is extremely low on battery, it doesn’t turn on. This is normal. But, if the device doesn’t respond or turns on even after charging it for an hour or so, it is a matter of concern. In this case, only these set of solutions can help you get out of this.
How to fix iPad is not turning on?
The only solution for this issue is to hard restart the iPad. Now, depending upon the model of iPad you got, the steps changes slightly. Actually, it is the presence or absence of the Home button to influence the procedure.
So, we have discussed the steps separately. Follow the one that suits your case.
For iPad 10th Gen, Air and Pro models
We have explained in details how to hard reboot the device. Follow the steps carefully –
Step 1 – On your iPad, press the Volume Up button once.
Step 2 – Then, tap the Volume down button once.
Step 3 – Finally, touch and hold the Power button on the top of the iPad. You need to hold down that button for at least 15 seconds.
After a certain period of time (under a minute), you will see the Apple logo has shown up on the screen.
This means, the iPad has force-restarted successfully.
For iPad 9th gen or prior models
If you have a slightly older iPad model, you have to use the Power button on the iPad to force-restart the device.
Step 1 – Place one of your finger on the Power button on the top side of the iPad.
Step 2 – Place another finger on the Home bar/Touch ID on the bottom bezel of the iPhone.
Pressing both the buttons for long enough should initiate the force-restart mode for iPad.
Once the force-restart procedure is successful, the iPad will function normally.
NOTE – If the iPad is still not waking up or not restarting at all, you should not wait any longer. Get in touch with the Apple Support or visit the nearest Apple authorized service center to get the iPad looked at.
