Can’t turn on your iPad? Although the number of bugs that users face on an iPad is way less than they do on their iPhones, this type of problem can not be ignored. If you are facing some problem starting up your iPad, you may follow our detailed instructions to troubleshoot the issue on your own. This won’t even take more than 2–3 minutes of your time.
Fix 1 – Force restart the iPad
If the regular method is not working, you should force restart the iPad.
Step 1 – On your iPad, press the Volume Up key once.
Step 2 – Then, tap the Volume Down key once more.
Step 3 – Later, press and hold down the Power button on the top of the iPad. Continue pressing the button until it shuts down completely and restart the device. While the device is restarting up, you will see the Apple Logo on the screen.
After the iPad restarts, you will have the device operational again.
Fix 2 – Charge the iPad
The most basic reason why the iPad might stop turning on is due to the lack of the charge on the device. Just take the device and plug into the charger. You may also use a wireless charger to charge the device.
As soon as you plug the device to the charging point, it will restart automatically and become operational once again.
Fix 3 – Clear up the storage
Acute lack of storage can cause the iPad to malfunction.
Step 1 – Load up the Settings page on your iPad.
Step 2 – Next, go to the “General” tab from the left pane.
Step 3 – Later, open up the “iPad Storage” option from the opposite panel.
Step 4 – Check the storage condition inside.
If you don’t have a minimum of 5 GB of free space, consider removing some of the big files from your local iPad storage.
Fix 4 – Update the iPadOS
You should update the iPadOS, if you are already left behind.
Step 1 – Go to the same iPad Settings page.
Step 2 – This time, go to the “General” tab.
Step 3 – Later, open up the “Software Update” panel on the right-hand tab.
Step 4 – Tap “Update Now” to install the update on the iPad.
After installing the iPadOS on your iPad, restart the device. Check if this works.
Fix 5 – Consult Apple Store
If the iPad is still not turning on, you should take the device to an authorized Apple Store. They will run some diagnostics from their end and if they found any issues, it will get fixed.
Hope these fixes have helped you!
