How To Fix Origin Online Login Is Currently Unavailable Issue

Origin is a gaming app that is used to manage, download and play games on your Windows or Mac machines. But a few users when trying to login Origin they get the error saying “Origin Online Login Is Currently Unavailable”. Not to worry, in this article we will see the different methods to get rid of this problem. Let us start!

Before trying out different solution, restart the Origin and check if it works

Restart the Origin app. To do that, right-click on the Origin app icon then click on quit origin. Again open the app and check if it works fine.

Alternatively, you can also try to right click on the task bar and click on task manager, in the processes tab check for Origin, right click on it and click on end task

If restarting the app does not work, then try out and follow the below methods.

 

Method 1: Set Your System’s Date And Time

 

Step 1 – Right click on the date and time, present on the taskbar at the right bottom corner of the screen

Step 2 – From the appeared list, click on adjust date/time

Step 3 – Windows settings page will open with the date & time page

Step 4 – Enable set time automatically, set time zone automatically option by clicking on the toggle bar below them (a blue color should appear on the toggle bar)

Step 5 – Then click on the region that is on the left side

Step 6 – On the right side, under region format click on the drop-down, and from the list select English (United States)

Step 7 – Restart the system. Now open the Origin app and check for the issue to be solved.

Alternatively you can also follow the below steps

Step 1 – Open the run prompt using Windows + R keys together

Step 2 – Type timedate.cpl in the run prompt and hit enter. This will open the date and time window

Step 3 – Go to the internet time tab

Step 4 – Then click on the change settings button

Step 5 – In the internet time settings window, enable the option synchronize with an internet time server by clicking on the checkbox beside it

Step 6 – Then click on update now button

Step 7 – To save the changes click on ok

 

Method 2: Reset Internet Explorer’s Settings To Its Default

 

Step 1 – Open the run prompt using Windows + R keys together

Step 2 – Type inetcpl.cpl in the run prompt and hit enter. This will open the internet properties windows

Step 3 – Go to the advanced tab

Step 4 – In the Reset internet explorer settings section at the bottom, click on reset button

Step 5 – A pop up window appears click on reset

Step 6 – Restart the system and check if the issue is solved.

 

Method 3: Disable The Pop-Up Blocker For Internet Explorer

 

Step 1 – Open the run prompt using Windows + R keys together

Step 2 – Type inetcpl.cpl in the run prompt and hit enter. This will open the internet properties windows

Step 3 – Go to the privacy tab

Step 4 – Uncheck the option turn on pop up blocker by clicking on the checkbox beside it (a tick mark should not be present)

Step 5 – To save the changes click on apply and ok

Step 6 – Restart the computer. Then open the Origin app and check if the issue is solved.

 

Method 4: Allow The Origin App Through Windows Defender Firewall

 

Step 1 – Open the run prompt using Windows + R keys together

Step 2 – Type firewall.cpl in the run prompt and hit enter. This will open the Windows defender firewall

Step 3 – On the left side, click on Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall

Step 4 – Click on change settings button

Step 5 – Scroll down and check for Origin app and then enable both private and public (a tick mark should be present)

Step 6 – To save the changes click on ok

Note: If you do not find Origin app in the list, then click on Allow another app that is at the bottom. In the opened window click on browse and select the.exe file of Origin app then click on open. Add the app and follow the Step 5 and Step 6

Step 7 – Restart the system and check if the issue is solved.

 

Method 5: Disable The USB Device

 

Step 1 – Open the run prompt using Windows + R keys together

Step 2 – Type devmgmt.msc in the run prompt and hit enter. This will open the device manager window

Step 3 – Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers by clicking on the arrow mark beside it

Step 4 – Right click on Realtek USB 2.0 Card Reader and then click on disable device

Now check if the Origin app is working fine

 

Method 6: Delete All The Origin App Cache

 

Step 1 – Open the run prompt using Windows + R keys together

Step 2 – Copy and paste the below command in the run prompt then hit enter

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Origin

Step 3 – Find for Origin folder and right click on it, then click on delete

Step 4 – Go back to the AppData folder and then double click on the local folder to open it

Step 5 – Find Origin folder here and delete it. To delete, right click on the Origin folder then click on delete

Step 6 – Open the run prompt using Windows + R keys together

Step 7 – Type %ProgramData% in the run prompt and hit enter

Step 8 – Find Origin folder and open it. Delete all the files and folders present in it except the LocalContentĀ folder.
