Getting the “Translation is unavailable at the moment.” message on your screen while trying to translate on the Translate app on your iPhone? Usually, the Translate app is a part of the iOS native utilities that can help you translate foreign languages on the go. Fixing this issue is not that hard, and you can do this and follow this path.
Fix 1 – Download the languages
The Translation tool needs the language models or components installed directly on the iPhone. This will start the translation process more fluently.
Step 1 – Open the Translation utility on your iPhone, if you have closed the app.
Step 2 – In the main Translation app, tap the small dot button at the top of the app.
Step 3 – Next, tap the “Download Languages” button in there to load the list of language models.
Step 4 – This will take you to the list of all the languages available for you to download and use.
Step 5 – You can download the language mode that is useful for you. Like, if you are translating Spanish language, you can download the “Spanish” from there.
[Make sure that you are connected to Wi-Fi or cellular network to download the language pack.]
Once you have downloaded the language model on your Translation app, the translation process will become useful again. You won’t be seeing the ‘Translation is unavailable at the moment.‘ message again.
Fix 2 – Delete the Translate app and reinstall it
If downloading the language model doesn’t work on the Translate app, you must delete the Translate app and reinstall the same from the App Store.
Step 1 – Start the process by searching the locating the “Translate” app. You can perform a searching operation to find the app.
Step 2 – Then, long press the “Translate” app and click the “Delete App” to delete the Translate app from your iPhone.
Step 3 – Next, you will get the confirmation prompt of the removal of the app. Certify it by touching the “Delete” option.
Give this a few seconds and the Translate app will be removed from your iPhone.
Step 4 – Next, you must go to the App Store.
Step 5 – There, search for the “Translate” app and open it from there.
Step 6 – Now, tap the “Cloud” sign along with it to install the Translate app on your iPhone.
Once you have reinstalled the Translate app, give the translation process another try.
