How To Enable Or Disable Steam Overlay for a particular game In Windows 10

Steam is an app used to play games, and chat with friends. There is a feature in the steam app called steam overlay using which steam users can use steam features while playing games irrespective of launching the app again. By default, the overlay shortcut keys are a combination of Shift + tab keys, however, they can be changed by the user. But sometimes this may crash or freeze the game or not perfectly work on all of them. You can use the steam app settings to enable/disable the steam overlay option. How To Disable Or Turn Off The Steam Overlay For A Particular Game

 

Step 1: Open the Steam app

Step 2: On the top click on library

Step 3: Then right click on that particular game and click on properties

Step 4: On the left click on general

Step 5: Untick the checkbox beside Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game (a tick mark should not be present)

Step 6: To save the changes click on Ok.

 

How To Enable Or Turn On The Steam Overlay For A Particular Game

 

Step 1: Open the Steam app

Step 2: On the top click on library

Step 3: Then right click on that particular game and click on properties

Step 5: At the right side, uncheck (a tick mark should not be present) the checkbox beside Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game to disable it. To uncheck, you can click on the checkbox (a tick mark should not be present)

Step 6: To save the changes click on Ok

Step 7: This will disable the steam overlay option while playing games.

Step 1: Open the Steam app

Step 2: On the top left click on the Steam option
