The Xbox gaming console has a host of features to enhance the gaming experience. One such feature is the options of wallpapers that you set. You can select a range of wallpaper color options to set your background while you browse the main menu. Such features can improve the visual look and feel of the Xbox console. As an Xbox fan, you have the option to create the background you like and then settle into your favorite games. In this article, we will first see how to change the regular background on your Xbox console and then look at other options available to totally spice up the visual view as you browse the main menu.
Method 1: Changing the regular wallpaper on Xbox Series X and Series S
Step 1: Press the Xbox button on your controller.
Step 2: Go to Profile and system and select Settings.
Step 3: Go to the General tab and then select Personalization.
Step 4: Next in the menu, select My background.
Step 5: Select Solid color and game art.
Step 6: Next select the color option that you want as your background.
Note:
1. You would have done this step during the initial setup. The color chosen at that time will be the default background color which you can change now.
2. You have different options for background like, solid color, game art, achievement art, custom image, screenshots, and dynamic color backgrounds.
3. Alternatively you can press the Customize button on your Xbox controller. This brings up the Customize Home screen where you can go over My background.
Method 2: Changing the Custom wallpaper on your Xbox Series X and Series S.
We can also put other images in the background as per our choice on the Xbox console. For this, you can either download the image from the Web or take screenshots of your favorite gaming moment. All these would be saved in your Xbox console which you can access and use as background. You can also choose to upload images from your USB drive.
Step 1: Press the Xbox button on your controller. Select Microsoft Edge browser from the Menu.
Step 2: In the search bar, type in the background you want to download.
Note: For this article, we will use the image from Halo Infinite which will be available on the internet.
Step 3: Select the image from the search options displayed. Click the options button in the controller and select set as background.
Note: If you have an image from a USB device and you want to use it as background, then follow the below steps.
Step 4: Press the Xbox button on your controller. Go to Profile and system and select Settings.
Step 5: Go to the General tab and select Personalization.
Step 6: Select My background from the Personalization menu.
Step 7: Select Custom Image from the menu that appears.
Step 8: Select the image that you have on a USB device or you want to set as background. Click on OK.
Step 9: Go to the home page to see the custom background ready for your view.
Now that your Xbox console is spiced up for a better view, you can make further changes as you wish to suit your personality.
