Exclamation mark with photos blurred in iPhone – How to fix

Seeing an exclamation mark on the photos blurred in the Photos app on your iPhone? The actual reason why you are facing this problem is due to the synchronization issues with the photos present on iCloud and the device. There is a problem between the files present onboard the phone and the ones that are there on your iCloud account.

Fix 1 – Restart the sync of iCloud Photos

You have to restart the synchronization of the photos present on the iCloud associated to your Apple account.

Step 1 – To do this, you have to load up the iPhone Settings.

Step 2 – In the Settings page, open up the Apple ID account.

This should refresh the linkup of the iCloud Photos app.

Fix 2 – Check the storage situation of iCloud

The lack of storage in the iCloud account can cause this issue as well.

Step 1 – Load up the Settings page on your iPhone.

Step 2 – Later, open up the Apple ID settings.

Step 3 – Now, go to the “iCloud” settings.

Step 4 – On the front page of the iCloud settings page, you will get to know the storage situation if you just take a glance.

Step 5 – You can also open the “iCloud Storage” to know the details of the storage condition.

If you have more than 1 GB of free space left in there, there is enough storage left for the iCloud to operate. You can just skip this solution because the cause of the problem is not storage.

But, if you don’t have enough free space in iCloud storage, you can just delete some of the big size files from the iCloud storage.

Once you have enough space on iCloud, the device should start to synchronize the photos again, and you will see the exclamation mark has disappeared from all the image on the Photos app.

Fix 3 – Sign out from Apple Account

If this one doesn’t work, you can just sign out of the Apple account and sign back to it.

Step 1 – Tap the Apple ID on the iPhone Settings home page.

Step 2 – Once you have Apple ID page, scroll down to the bottom of that page. Tap “Sign out” to log out.

The process of logging out from your Apple ID is not very simple. You must pass through some security checks like the Apple Passcode, FaceID.

Step 3 – So, once you have logged out, the basic version of Settings page should load up.

Step 4 – Tap the “Sign in using iCloud” prompt there.

Step 5 – Now, you have to input your Apple ID-related credentials there and complete the log-in procedure.

After the verification, you should be logged into your Apple ID again. Check the status of the photos app once more. This time, you won’t see the exclamation mark in there.

Fix 4 – Force reboot the device

The final solution here is to force-reboot the device.

Step 1 – The force reboot procedure is very simple. But, before you do, make sure to close all the opened applications on the phone.

Step 2 – Next, gently press the Volume Up key once.

Step 3 – Later, tap and release the Volume Down key as well.

Step 4 – For the third and final step, all you have to do is to press and hold down the Power button on the iPhone.

When you have pressed down the Power button for enough time (like 10-15 seconds), the iPhone will get rebooted automatically.

This problem with the exclamation mark on the image should be gone from the Photos app after executing the force restart procedure.
