Allow Photos access is missing in iPhone : Fix

The apps on your iPhone doesn’t get immediate access to your Photos by default. In case if you have noticed the absence of the “Allow Photos” access tab in the app settings, these fixes will be helpful. If you can’t allow/disallow photos permission, the app won’t work properly, and you can’t share any images stored on your phone using the app.

Fix 1 – Try to access the photos from app

If you have revoked the permission from the problematic app, try accessing the camera or uploading the images from your phone.

Step 1 – Just open the problematic app on your phone.

Step 2 – After opening the app, just go ahead and use the Camera module there.

(Like, if you are on Facebook, tap the “Images” icon in the New Post section. This will open up the camera module in the app.)

After providing the access to the images on your phone, open the Settings and open the app settings there. Check whether the ‘Allow Photos’ feature is present or not.

Step 2 – Next, hold the application in there and use the “Remove app“.

The next time you launch the application, you will get the prompt to allow the photos access to the application. Permit that and the ‘Allow Photos’ settings will re-appear in the Settings page as well.

Fix 3 – Disable the Content & Privacy restrictions

The Content & Privacy restrictions can block the app permission to the stored images on the device.

Step 1 – At first, go to the Settings panel.

Step 2 – Open the “Screen Time” settings.
