  1. i have created a new Administrator Account and the problem is solved. After many months of same problem sync pause now all is solved

  2. Same here. I have tried these fixes and they seem to work for a while and then I’m back to square one again. My android tablet chrome sync is working its just the PC. This all started after a Windows update. As a last resort I may have to uninstall and reinstall chrome. I’m at a loss as to what to try next. Annoying very annoying.

  3. What has worked for me going on 2 weeks is turning off sync, and every time I close Chrome, I lock my PC by pressing WINDOWS + L KEY. Then I sign in into windows open chrome and all my sites are not logged out. I f you close chrome and do not lock PC, and open Chrome again you will lose all your saved log ins. Some people have pointed out in other forums the new microsoft update has created errors in the crypto-DAPI in the event viewer , what ever that means.

  4. same, this problem seen after latest update of windows 10, it also paused on edge, firefox and chrome. It’s anoying so much for this feature !!!

  5. I have excactly the same problem, The fault only affects one of my computers, and like the other replies, it happened after an update earlier this year. It cannot be the chrome settings as the pause does not affect other computers, which have synced settings.
It also pause google login on IE or Edge after restart computer.
I am becoming more and more sure that it is a windows 10 setting as well.
Hope some expert can have a real answer

  6. I am becoming more and more sure that it is a windows 10 setting, and not a fault with Chrome. The fault only affects one of my computers, and like the other replies, it happened after an update earlier this year. It cannot be the chrome settings as the pause does not affect other computers, which have synced settings.
I hope this is not to force us all to change the Microsoft edge.

  7. Same problem happened to me in the last half of July after an overnight update. Tried everything mentioned, nothing works.

  8. I agree with Julie. None of these fixes appear to work. The “Reset” option never would complete. This problem first appeared on my Windows 10 computer several weeks ago. It also appeared on our business computers at roughly the same time, so an update either to Chrome, Google or Windows has triggered this problem. We have been forced to go back to Microsoft Edge as our browser because we were losing so much productivity simply re-logging in.

  9. None of the above “fixes” worked. What next. It’s getting old when I log off my internet to have to unpause my Google account. Can someone give me a permanent fix please.
