Got yourself a new gaming rig or a gaming laptop and wondering about how much it stakes up against all the other PC or laptop? The tool which we use to judge the performance of any rig is known as Benchmark. In this process, stress tests are run to judge the full capabilities of all the components like CPU, GPU, RAM, SSD, etc. There are many benchmarking tools available on the market. But, in this article, we have used the UserBenchmark, a lightweight, free, and fast benchmarking tool that will analyze your system quickly and give a comparative analysis of your PC’s performance.
Step 1 – Download and install UserBenchmark
Download the UserBenchmark and install it on your system.
Step 1 – Get to the UserBenchmark page.
Step 2 – Then, tap “Free Download” to download the installer executable file.
Step 3 – After downloading it, open File Explorer and go on ahead to the download directory.
Step 4 – Then, double-tap the “UserBenchmarkInstaller” executable file to start the installation process.
Step 5 – Decide where to put the installable files.
Step 6 – Then, install UserBenchmark on your computer.
Step 7 – At the last page, make sure to uncheck the “Launch UserBenchmark” and tap “Finish“.
Prerequisites of running the UserBenchmark
Before you run the UserBenchmark, these are things you have to follow mandatorily.
Step 1 – Close every app, browser or any kind of other programs running on your computer.
Step 2 – You have to terminate all the background apps as well. So, use the Win+X keys together.
Step 3 – Then, tap “Task Manager” to open it up.
Step 4 – Look for any apps that is running in the background.
Step 5 – Right-click every such app and tap “End task” to terminate all of them one by one.
Close the Task Manager after this.
Step 2 – Run the Benchmark
Finally, it is time to run the UserBenchmark.
1. Double-tap the UserBenchmark icon on the desktop or from the Start menu.
It automatically starts to analyze the system by running various checks. Usually, it covers the full screen.
Let it run all the tests. Do not close or interuppt the test. Do not open a new program. This will compromise the benchmark results
2. Once it is done, UserBenchmark will automatically show you the result in a browser tab.
Analyzing the UserBenchmark result
Now, you can analyze the performance of the UserBenchmark on the browser tab.
You will see a comprehensive result of your PC’s specifications. You will notice a brown rectangular box beside the particular PC component. That particular component is bottlenecking the system’s performance. It is either too old/ obsolete or faulty. Click that once.
This will take you directly to more details of that particular component.
Read what that says. This component of the system can decrease the overall performance of the system.
Comparing multiple components
Got a inferior GPU or RAM memory component? You can directly compare the inferior GPU to a new one with their price.
Just tap “COMPARE” to compare multiple components.
Here you can select the CPU and GPU you want and easily compare them as you want.
This way, you can have a better understanding of the components, which will help you upgrade the system for better pefromance.
