Does some apps getting downloaded automatically on your iPhone? Why the apps are getting downloaded automatically on my iPhone?

There is a toggle in the iPhone settings that allows this automatic download of the apps on the device. When this feature is turned on, any apps that you have purchased on iTunes will be automatically installed on your iPhone.

While this feature is helpful if you are in the Apple Ecosystem or own multiple Apple products, the same may not turn to be beneficial in all the situations. Like, it is not appreciable if the apps are getting downloaded in the background while you are on the mobile network.

How to block the apps from getting downloaded automatically on the iPhone?

You can take care of this directly from the Settings page. You need to simply disable the ‘Automatic Download’ feature from the network settings.

Step 1 – At first, open up the iPhone Settings.

Step 2 – We have to go to the “App Store” settings.

Step 3 – Just disable the “App Downloads” option in there.

As soon as you have disabled it, the apps won’t be automatically installed the apps that you already own on the

NOTE – Though you have disabled the ‘Automatic Updates’ for the cellular service on your iPhone, you should not disable that for the Wi-Fi module. This way, you can still have the apps downloaded on your iPhone while you are connected to the Wi-Fi.
