Can’t share your location with your friends from your iPhone? A set of users have reported this rare problem where the location seems to be ‘Not found’ while sharing their status from their respective devices. Why ‘No Location found’ message is showing up?
The current location of an iPhone user is a discrete, private information. Apple devices use the proprietary Find My feature to keep the devices secure. You can share and track your Apple devices directly if the Find My system is enabled on the supported devices.
The main functionality of the ‘Find My’ system is the ‘Share My Location’. When this feature is enabled, your iPhone’s location data is shared with the family and friends. But, if this feature is disabled on your iPhone, this ‘No Location Found’ term shows up with the accounts with which the location data is shared. This is the main reason behind this problem.
Fix 1 – Change the Find My settings
There are some of the Find My features are disabled on your iPhone. To fix this problem, you have to make some changes in the Find My settings.
Step 1 – Open up the Settings on your iPhone.
Step 2 – Next, tap the Apple ID banner that you can find in there.
Step 3 – In that Apple ID page, scroll down and open up the “Find My” settings.
Step 4 – In the Find My settings, enable the “Share My Location” settings.
Step 5 – Also, tap on the “Find My iPhone” option to open that up.
Step 6 – In the main settings page, make sure to turn on these settings –
Find My iPhone Find My Network Send Last Location
These three settings are the essential part of the Find My iPhone. So, enabling these three modifiers should fix take care of the issue.
Once you have done this, you can share the location successfully. There won’t be such ‘No Location found’ message anymore.
NOTE – The ‘Find My’ feature doesn’t need the device to be connected to the internet for it to function. But, it does restrict some of the functionalities. So, we recommend you keep the device connected to the network all the time to get the full benefits of the ‘Find My’ feature.
