Apple Watch is not charging – How to fix

Why the Apple Watch is not charging?

Fix 1 – Clean the watch properly

Your Apple Watch charges wirelessly via the MagSafe charger. So, if a layer of dirt, water or any sort of liquid is present on the back of the Apple Watch, you must clean it up.

Step 1 – Take a clean piece of cloth and clear up the back of the Apple Watch properly.

Step 2 – If you found any liquid or smudge on that surface, clean it up.

Try to charge the Apple Watch now.

 

Fix 2 – Use another charging port

There is a possibility that the charger plug is not connected properly.

Step 1 – Make sure the charger plug is plugged into the charging brick correctly. Insert it properly to avoid any possibility of loose connection.

Step 2 – You can put the charging brick in another power socket.

Fix 3 – Force restart the Apple Watch

Try force restarting your Apple Watch.

Step 1 – At first, press and hold the crown and the side button on the Apple Watch. You have to hold these two buttons until the watch restarts.

Step 2 – After the watch restarts, attach the MagSafe charger to it.

Fix 4 – Charge without the case

If your Apple Watch is protected with a very hard, tough case, it may interfere with the charging process.



Step 1 – Take out the protective case from the Apple Watch.
