Your Apple Watch brings up the weather forecast right on your wrist. Weather plays a very important part in our daily life. You would not want the weather information disappearing from your Apple Watch. This guide contains the steps that you will need to troubleshoot the weather issue on the watch.
Fix 1 – Turn on the Location Services on iPhone
You must have the location services turned on the iPhone.
Step 1 – Start by opening up the iPhone Settings.
Step 2 – Next, go to the “Privacy & Security” settings.
Step 3 – Open up the “Location Services” tab.
Step 4 – Turn on the “Location Services” option, if it was disabled.
Step 5 – Scroll down and find the “Weather” app entry there. Open it up from there.
Step 6 – After opening it up, set it to “Never” mode once.
Step 7 – Wait for a few seconds and then, set it to “While using the App or Widgets” option.
After doing this, try to check the Weather app on watch.
Fix 2 – Reset the location services
Resetting the location services on your iPhone is a good idea in this case.
Step 1 – Load up the iPhone Settings tab.
Step 2 – Then, proceed to the “General” panel.
Step 3 – Load the “Transfer or reset iPhone” settings.
Step 4 – Next, tap the “Reset” option.
Step 5 – After this, tap the “Reset Location & Privacy“.
Once you have reset the location settings, return to the watch and try to view the weather there.
Fix 3 – Check watch face complications
If you are having a problem getting the weather information on the watch face, editing the complications may do the trick.
Step 1 – Open up the Watch app on your iPhone.
Step 2 – Tap the current watch face that you are using on the device.
Step 3 – Now, select the complication that shows the weather information on the watch.
Step 4 – Select the same or any other parameter (like temperature, moisture, AQI etc.) to show up on the watch face.
Now, take a quick glance on the watch and test whether it is showing up weather data or not.
Fix 4 – Turn on time settings
You can try to switch the time settings on your iPhone. The same will be synced with the Apple Watch.
Step 1 – On the iPhone Settings page, tap the “General” tab.
Step 2 – Next, go to the “Date & Time” settings.
Step 3 – Toggle the “24-Hour Time” settings.
After toggling the time settings, check the weather information directly from the Weather app on the watch app.
Fix 5 – Give cellular data access to Weather
You have to provide cellular data access to Weather app, so that it works even while using the cellular data.
Step 1 – At first, go to the “Mobile Service” tab.
Step 2 – On the Mobile Service tab, load up the app list using the “Show All” option.
Step 3 – Make sure the “Weather” app is turned on.
See if the Weather app is functioning properly or not.
Fix 6 – Restart the Apple Watch
You can just restart the Apple Watch once and check if this works.
Step 1 – Press and hold the side button on the Apple Watch.
Step 2 – Then, tap the power button on the screen.
Step 3 – Slide the ‘Power off‘ slider to switch off the device.
Step 4 – After this, hold down the side button for a few seconds to restart the Apple Watch.
