While signing in to Microsoft Teams client, are you getting this ‘You’re missing out‘ message on the screen? While logging in to Microsoft Teams account with their credentials, some of the Teams’ users have witnessed this error message. Don’t worry, there’s nothing to worry. Actually, Microsoft Teams it’s showing up this prompt only to convey the message, that the Microsoft Teams it’s not enabled by default on your Microsoft 365 account.
Fix 1 – Enable Microsoft Teams from Microsoft 365
You have to enable Microsoft Teams from the Microsoft 365 console.
Step 1 – At first, open up the Microsoft 365 website, and login using your work or school account.
Step 2 – then go to the admin section, a and later reach the M365 admin center.
Step 3 – On the next step, follow this path—
Settings > Settings
Step 4 – Select Microsoft Teams from the list of Services on the right-hand side.
A separate Microsoft Teams panel will open up on the right side of the screen. You can use this panel to enable or disable Microsoft Teams licenses for students and faculty or staff.
Step 5 – Now, in ‘Turn on teams for users with the following licenses‘ section, check any of these boxes or both according to your preference —
Education- Faculty and Staff Education- Student
Step 6 – You may find another section call Settings by user/ license type. You can manage license settings from there as well.
Note — The entire process that we’ve explained here should be done by your IT administrator. So, you may not be able to enable teams from Microsoft 365 on your own. In that case, you should consult the concerning IT administrator to do it for you.
Fix 2 – Add the license to your account
Note – You will need administrator credentials to perform steps mentioned in the solution.
There’s a chance that the Microsoft Teams, it’s not enabled under your account.
Step 1 – Open up Office 365 Admin Center on your browser.
Step 2 – Load up the Users tab and select Active Users from there.
Step 3 – On the next step, choose your e-mail account and tap Licenses and Apps section. Check whether your account is assigned with a license to use Microsoft Teams.
Step 4 – now, expand the apps tab. Finally, check the box for Microsoft Teams for the particular user.
Now, come back to Microsoft Teams app and sign-in using your e-mail account to check whether that works.
Fix 3 – Check Microsoft Teams account credentials
This message only shows up if you are trying to log in to teams with an office or school account. So you must check whether you are actually using the particular account or not.
Step 1 – To do this, load up the Microsoft Teams app on your desktop.
Step 2 – Then tap the profile icon in the top right corner of the teams app.
Step 3 – You can view the teams account details, what are you using currently.
Step 4 – If you see that it is not the correct account, you have to sign out and login using them correct credentials.
The other message will disappear as soon as you log in with proper account credentials.
Fix 4 – Are you using teams exploratory trial license?
In case, if you are using Microsoft Teams Exploratory trial license, there’s a chance that it has expired. You should check your e-mail inbox associated to the Microsoft Teams for cautionary emails.
This simply means that you must get up a new official license to continue to use Microsoft Teams business solution.
