Does the WhatsApp notifications are not coming up on your iPhone? If that is the case, you can fix it by changing the WhatsApp settings. But, what if the WhatsApp notifications don’t reach despite allowing it from the settings page? Apart from the main WhatsApp notification settings, there are some modifications you can do to solve the issue.
Fix 1 – Uninstall and reinstall the WhatsApp
The working method for this method is to uninstall the WhatsApp app and reinstall the latest version. Doing this should reset the app, along with the notification permissions.
Step 1 – Backup the WhatsApp data
Before removing the WhatsApp, make sure to back up the WhatsApp data.
Step 1 – Open WhatsApp, if you haven’t done that already.
Step 2 – On the WhatsApp app, go to the “⚙Settings” tab.
Step 3 – Next, go to the “Chats” box.
Step 4 – Use the “Chat backup” option on the following page.
Step 5 – Touch the “Back up now” option.
Step 6 – If an error message pops up in the middle of the process, ignore that.
Step 7 – Tap the “Back up now” button once more.
Step 8 – You can track the progress bar for the backup process. Wait patiently for the WhatsApp to back up all of your chats.
Once you have created the backup for WhatsApp, you can close it.
Step 2 – Uninstall and reinstall the WhatsApp
Now, once you have created the WhatsApp backup, we are not going to uninstall and reinstall the app on your device.
Step 1 – You must close the WhatsApp, first.
Step 2 – Next, hold down the WhatsApp icon on your iPhone screen and tap “Remove App“.
Step 3 – When the prompt appears, tap the “Delete App” option to finally remove WhatsApp from your iPhone.
Step 4 – Once you have done that, go to the App Store.
Step 5 – Search for the “WhatsApp” app in the search box.
Step 6 – Now, tap the cloud icon beside the WhatsApp to load it on your iPhone.
Step 7 – Once you have installed WhatsApp, open it up,
Step 8 – The rest of the process is very simple. All that you have to do is to input your mobile number and log in to it.
[NOTE – Allow all the permissions WhatsApp asks while setting it up.
Step 9 – Continue through the verification step (the step where the WhatsApp calls you or send a verification code) and you should be good to go.
Once you are done, WhatsApp will sync your chats from the WhatsApp backup data stored on your iCloud drive. Give it a few minutes for everything to sync up.
Doing this procedure will take care of the notification issue with the WhatsApp.
Fix 2 – Allow the WhatsApp notifications
You must check whether you have allowed the WhatsApp in the settings.
Step 1 – For the starter, go to the iPhone Settings.
Step 2 – Next, go to the “Apps” option to view all the apps.
Step 3 – Search for the “WhatsApp” app and open it up.
Step 4 – Open the “Notifications” panel.
Step 5 – Turn on the “Allow Notifications” box.
Once you have allowed the WhatsApp permissions, the chats and replies will show up on your iPhone. There won’t be any further issues with the WhatsApp notifications.
