Does the Instagram notification system not working on your iPhone? Users’ experience of using Instagram will be hampered if the notification system doesn’t deliver them properly. Without the real-time notification delivery, you won’t get proper notifications from any of the Instagram posts. We have addressed this issue in this article. Fix 1 – Turn on the Instagram notifications
You must enable the Instagram notification settings from the iPhone settings page.
Step 1 – Open up the Settings page. Do that using the ⚙ icon on the screen.
Step 2 – Then, open up the “Notifications” tab.
Step 3 – After opening up that panel, look for the “Instagram” app in the list of entries.
Step 4 – You may have to tap the “Show All” option to get the complete list of items.
Step 5 – Turn on the “Allow Notifications” option in there.
Step 6 – Go through the rest of the page and enable all the notification options there.
Step 7 – Scroll down and open up the “Show Preview” option.
Step 8 – You have to select the “Always (Default)” mode.
You will receive all of your Instagram notifications right on time.
Fix 2 – Set the iPhone ringer mode
You won’t receive any Instagram notification while the device is in Silent mode.
Step 1 – The Alert Slider or Action button is located on the side of the iPhone.
Step 2 – Toggle the button to get out of the Silent Mode and back to the normal Ringer mode.
There won’t be any issues with the Instagram app notifications anymore.
Fix 3 – Turn off any focus mode
Disable any focus modes that your iPhone is currently using. While you are using a Focus Status modes, like Work or Sleep, all the notifications does get silenced automatically.
Step 1 – Open up the Control Center.
Step 2 – If you are using any of the Focus Modes, you should be already seeing that icon on the status bar.
Step 3 – Disable that particular focus mode by tapping it once.
Once you have disabled it, you will start to get the notifications from the Instagram app.
Fix 4 – Allow Background Refresh for Instagram
Instagram requires for it to continue running in the background of the device.
Step 1 – To change the Background refresh, open up the Settings.
Step 2 – Next, go to the “General” tab.
Step 3 – Then, load up the “Background App Refresh” app.
There, you shall see the list of apps where you can allow/disallow the access to the background app refresh mode.
Step 4 – Turn on the “Instagram” app in there.
Quit the Settings page, and you can expect the Instagram app notifications appearing just like before.
