Voice Isolation feature is not working on your iPhone? Don’t worry. Unlike all the other options that you see on your Control Center, Voice Isolation is a microphone-based feature that only protrudes when the microphone is used for a calling purpose. But, what if this Voice Isolation feature is not working to separate your voice from the ambient noise? These fixes will be helpful.
Fix 1 – Voice Isolation works only on FaceTime call
Voice Isolation is Apple’s own native technology that functions the best with the native iOS apps like FaceTime.
Step 1 – So, you must load the FaceTime app on your iPhone.
Step 2 – Next, when the app is open, get to the Control Center.
Step 3 – There, you will find the “Mic mode” option has appeared, where usually you find the Media Control center.
Step 4 – Tap that, and you will see all three mic options in there.
Step 5 – Choose the “Voice Isolation” mode from the list of all the other options.
Now, return to the call and talk normally. Later, you can confirm with the caller whether the changes in the Mic mode has actually made any difference in the mic input.
It will function correctly, and your voice will get isolated from ambient noise.
Fix 2 – Switch to a Wi-Fi connection
If you are trying to use the Voice Isolation while you are on a cellular connection, switching to the Wi-Fi connection should be helpful.
Step 1 – Simply, open the Control Center.
Step 2 – Switch off the Mobile Data in there.
Step 3 – Next, turn on the Wi-Fi and connect to it.
Once you are connected to the Wi-Fi, Face Time someone and try switching the Mic mode to the Voice Isolation support.
Do test whether the Voice Isolation is function correctly or not.
Fix 3 – Disable the Bluetooth
Unlike other iOS features, the Voice Isolation is not supported if you are using the Bluetooth devices with your iPhone.
Step 1 – Find the ⚙ to access it.
Step 2 – When the Settings page appears on your iPhone screen, access the “Bluetooth” settings.
Step 3 – Turn off the “Bluetooth” feature in the following page.
Disabling the Bluetooth will also disconnect you from other Bluetooth devices. You can use the Voice Isolation feature once again.
See whether the Voice Isolation is working or not.
If it isn’t working properly, you can try disabling other noise cancellation-like feature on your iPhone.
Fix 4 – Turn off the Phone Noise Cancellation feature
Voice Isolation is a similar to the noise cancellation technology, as the former tries to isolate the user’s voice from the ambient noise.
Step 1 – So, you must disable the Noise Cancellation feature in the iPhone.
Step 2 – Load up the iPhone’s Settings and open the “Accessibility” settings.
Step 3 – Next, scroll up to reach the Hearing section.
Step 4 – Open the “Audio/Visual” settings on your iPhone.
Step 5 – Now, make sure the “Phone Noise Cancellation” option is switched off.
After turning this off, you can turn on the Voice Isolation and see to it whether you can activate it and use it properly or not.
