The version of AMD Radeon software is not compatible with the graphic issue – How to fix

AMD optimizes their whole lineup of graphics card with periodical updates aligned with the release of the major games on PC. AMD updates their proprietary AMD Adrenalin software along with the graphics driver updates. The contradiction in the graphics driver and the Adrenalin software may throw up this error message, “The version of AMD Radeon software is not compatible with the graphics card” on the user’s computer.

Fix 1 – Roll back the driver

You have installed a new driver, but Windows have loaded up an older driver in its place. So, you have to roll back that driver update.

Step 1 – To do this, search for “device” from the search box.

Step 2 – Next, tap the “Device Manager” to open it up.

Your Windows system will sometimes restart during the process.

NOTE – If you are using an AMD processor device, it bound to have an in-build Radeon graphics card. We often see that this driver is disabled as the main GPU driver is active. In that case, you have to re-enable that driver first.

Step 1 – Open up the Device Manager.

Step 2 – Next, right-click the graphics driver there and click “Enable device” to enable the graphics driver.

Windows has a tendency of upgrading the display drivers automatically. You may block them using policy editor (Applicable only to Windows Pro users).

Step 1 – Write “group policy” from the search box.

Step 2 – Later, open up the “Edit Group Policy” to open it up.
