Valorant has become extremely popular among fps gamers with its new-age graphics, extremely easy game mechanics and good cosmetics. But, why the gamers will spend their money on gun skins if the game keeps crashing in the middle of a match? Even if you are not new to Valorant, you are familiar with their game bans if you suddenly quit a match. These crashes may lead to queue restrictions, game bans and if the game keeps crashing frequently, your Valorant account may get banned temporarily.
Fix 1 – Disable the Full screen optimizations
Windows may optimize Valorant while it is running in full screen mode. Disabling those optimizations may help.
Step 1 – At first, find the “Valorant” game in the desktop.
Step 2 – Next, right-click the “Valorant” game icon there, and tap “Properties“.
Step 3 – Go to the “Compatibility” tab.
Step 4 – Turn off the “Disable full screen optimizations” mode from there.
Step 5 – Save the changes using ‘Apply‘ and ‘OK‘ function.
After disabling the full screen optimizations for the game, try a simple death match in Valorant. See whether this helps or not.
Fix 2 – Update the graphics driver
Use the latest version of the NVIDIA graphics driver.
Step 1 – Open up the NVIDIA App or GeForce Experience app.
Step 2 – Go to the “Drivers” tab.
Step 3 – Wait till you get the latest driver updates. You may download the latest driver from here.
Step 4 – Later, install the driver using the “Install” command.
Once you have installed the latest graphics driver, a restart is a must. After that, you may enjoy Valorant again.
Fix 3 – Uninstall the game with Vanguard and reinstall
If you are having this problem for a long time, you should consider uninstalling Valorant alongside the Vanguard and reinstalling it further.
Step 1 – Hold the Win+R keys together.
Step 2 – Next, type this there and tap “OK“.
appwiz.cpl
Step 3 – When you reach the Programs & Features page, right-click the “Valorant” and tap “Uninstall“.
Follow a few steps to remove the game completely from your computer.
Step 4 – Now, uninstalling the Vanguard is optional here. You may or may not uninstall the Riot Vanguard.
Step 5 – After this, visit the Riot’s Valorant official game page. Tap “Play for free” to download the installer.
Step 6 – Run the installer to install Valorant on your computer.
The Vanguard will be installed during the installation of the game.
A system restart is necessary afterward. Do that, and you can enjoy Valorant without any more issues.
Fix 4 – Do an SFC check
You can run a simple System File Checker scan to fix the issue, if it has originated from any corruption in the files.
Step 1 – Start by searching for “cmd“.
Step 2 – Next, right-click “Command Prompt” and tap to use the “Run as administrator“.
Step 3 – Type the code there and then, hit Enter.
sfc /scannow
After running this simple code, restart the computer and check again. See whether you can play Valorant or not.
