Getting the “Message blocking is active” prompt while messaging someone on from your iPhone? If you are getting this same prompt on your device, the user on the other side won’t get your messages. We have discussed the reason why you are getting this particular error message on the Messages app. This gets associated with the particular solution to fix this problem.
Why the Message blocking is active is showing up on my iPhone?
It is very simple why this particular prompt is showing up on your iPhone. When you block someone on the Messages app, the user won’t get your messages or alerts or anything at all. Their messages won’t get to you as well. This ‘Message blocking is active’ only shows up when you are messaging a blocked user on your device.
The only way to troubleshoot this issue is to unblock the user from your iPhone. This process is very easy, and you can unblock the contact directly from the Phone app. So, without wasting any more time, follow our instructions to unblock the account. Once you do this, the prompt will disappear from your device.
Fix – Unblock the account
You have to unblock the user’s number from the Messages app directly.
Step 1 – To do this, you have to load up the Contact app, first.
Step 2 – Go to the “Contacts” tab.
Step 3 – After you load it up, search for the name of the person with whom you are seeing this message.
Step 4 – On the subsequent step, you need to just scroll down and find the “Unblock this caller” option. Tap that once to unblock the account.
Once you have unblocked the caller, you can send your messages. The same error prompt won’t show up in there again.
NOTE – We have to remember that revoking block mechanism works the both ways. Once you lift the gate, their messages will also get delivered to you.
You can do this from the Messages app as well.
