Getting a spinning wheel on the Call Forwarding screen on your iPhone? If there is some problem with the Call Forwarding system on the device, the spinning wheel shows up. This is the sign that the Call Forwarding function is not working on your iPhone.
Why there is a spinning wheel in Call Forwarding page?
The spinning wheel that you are seeing on the Call Forwarding page simply means that the Call Forwarding function is not able to function correctly. You cannot disable or enable the Call Forwarding feature if the spinning wheel is present on the screen.
After a thorough research, we have found the VoLTE function to be the reason behind this problem. The incompatibility between the supported carrier settings can be another thing that is causing this conflict in the Call Forwarding settings. So, turn off the VoLTE in the device settings to fix the problem.
Fix 1 – Turn off the VoLTE Mode
The Call Forwarding feature seems to be conflicting with the VoLTE feature.
Step 1 – You need to open up the Settings page on your device.
Step 2 – After getting into the Home page of the iPhone Settings, open up the “Mobile Services” or “Cellular Services” tab.
Step 3 – In this Cellular settings tab, go to the “Cellular Data Options“.
You shall find the cellular data settings on the following page.
Step 4 – Disable the “VoLTE” mode from there.
After this, you can change the Call Forwarding settings.
Step 5 – Reach the home page of the Settings page.
Step 6 – Now, open up the “Apps” section.
Step 7 – Go to the “Phone” tab.
Step 8 – Open the “Call Forwarding” settings and check the status of it in there.
NOTE – Suppose, you have two devices, one that is forwarding the call and other iPhone, where the call is getting forwarded to. You have to disable the VoLTE on both the devices. If VoLTE service is not available on any of these two devices, it doesn’t matter. Just disable where this feature is available.
Fix 2 – Restart the device and check
If turning the VoLTE doesn’t fix your issue, you should restart the iPhone to fix the problem.
Step 1 – Only way of rebooting an iPhone is to force-restart the device. To do that, close all the applications, first.
Step 2 – Next, tap the Volume Increase button once.
Step 3 – Later, tap the Volume Up button and release it.
Step 4 – After this, hold down the Power key on the iPhone until the device shuts down and restarts.
After the device restarts, the spinning wheel on the Call Forwarding page will disappear.
