There are many applications that are needed for our daily purpose on iPhone or any other smartphone, but there are no threats or security issues with most of the applications which are downloaded from the App Store.
However, there are certain apps like banking apps, some corporate official apps, storage apps, etc. which need to be secured from other users. Even if we add a passcode or FaceID which is quite secure but when our friends or other fellow colleagues use our iPhones casually, adding a lock to the selected applications would prove beneficial.
By default, Apple does not provide any predefined settings to lock or encrypt the application with a password or FaceID. So this is one of the biggest drawbacks of Apple devices.
