The vibration feature on the iPhone lets you feel the vibration alert of an incoming call. But what if the iPhone is not vibrating on calls? Don’t worry, there is nothing wrong with your iPhone. The reason why you are not feeling any vibration is because the haptics and vibration settings are misconfigured on the device. Fixing this solution won’t take more than a minute. Follow the steps mentioned here to fix the issue.
Fix 1 – Turn on the System Haptics
The Vibration system is a part of the system haptics on your iPhone.
Step 1 – Open the “Sound & Haptics” settings.
Step 2 – Just scroll down to find the “Ring/Silent notification” panel.
Step 3 – Turn on the “Play Haptics in Ring Mode” and “Play Haptics in Silent Mode” button. Later, enable the “System Haptics” mode.
Check whether the vibration is working or not.
Fix 2 – Change the vibration pattern
You can use a different vibration on your iPhone.
Step 1 – In the iPhone Settings, open up the “Sound & Haptics” part.
Step 2 – Next, open up the “Ringtone” panel.
Step 3 – On the subsequent page, load up the “Haptics” section.
Step 4 – Choose a different vibration pattern in the page. Or, you can create a custom vibration pattern for yourself as well.
After you have done this, the vibration issue should get fixed.
Fix 3 – Enable Vibration from Accessibility
Vibration is a part of Accessibility features on your iPhone.
Step 1 – Load up the Settings window.
Step 2 – Open up the “Accessibility” settings in there.
Step 3 – Next, open up the “Touch” peripherals in there.
Step 4 – Make sure the “Vibration” enabled.
Check if this helps.
Fix 4 – Disable the DND mode
The Do Not Disturb mode can disable the vibration mode. So, you should get out of the DND mode.
Step 1 – Open up the Control Center.
Step 2 – Disable the “Do Not Disturb” mode, if it is enabled on your iPhone.
When the iPhone returns to the normal condition, the vibration will also come into effect. Check if this works.
Fix 5 – Reset All Settings
You can delete all of your iPhone settings.
Step 1 – On your iPhone Settings, go to the “General” tab.
Step 2 – Afterward, go this way –
Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset
Step 3 – Run the “Reset All Settings” option.
The next step in the process involves a security check. Do that and your iPhone will restart automatically. Your ringtone, vibration settings will be reset to normal. So, you may have to change those settings manually.
Fix 6 – Use the iPhone without hard case
If you are using a hard case for the iPhone, you may not feel the vibration on calls. There are special ‘military grade’, toughened casings that can dissipate the vibration of the iPhone during calls. So, just remove the case from the iPhone and check if that improves the case.
Fix 7 – Force reboot the device
Finally, if you are still not getting any vibration, you should try the force reboot method.
Step 1 – Tap and hold the Volume Plus button.
Step 2 – Next, tap and release the Volume Down button.
Step 3 – Later, press-hold the Power button to force restart the iPhone.
After the device does get rebooted, you can test the iPhone to check whether the vibration is really there or not.
