Telegram calls not connecting in iPhone: Fix

Are the Telegram calls are not connecting on your Telegram app in iPhone? The calling feature on the Telegram app is definitely a useful feature. If you can’t connect to a particular Telegram number, you can ignore that. But, if you can’t call anyone on your Telegram chats list, that is a problem that you can’t ignore.

 

Fix 1 – Disable Low Data for Calls

Telegram offers a low data mode in the call settings page. This can be the reason why you can’t connect any of your calls.

Step 1 – On your Telegram app page, go to the “Settings” tab.

Step 2 – Next, go to the “Data and Storage” option.

Step 3 – Simply, scroll down and disable the “Use Less Data for Calls” setting.

Call someone you know on the Telegram app. Check if the calls are connecting or not.

 

Fix 2 – Switch between Wi-Fi and cellular data

If the phone calls are not connecting while you are on Wi-Fi, you should use the cellular data connection to call from the Telegram app.

This works the other way as well. Like, if you are having these call issues, you must use a stable, fast Wi-Fi connection to make those calls.

 

Fix 3 – Force Close the Telegram app

Close the Telegram app on your iPhone once and re-open it.

Step 1 – While the Telegram app is open, swipe your finger across the display to view all the running apps.

Step 2 – Next, force-close the Telegram app.

Step 3 – Later, re-open the Telegram app and try to make those calls.

Check whether you connect someone on the Telegram call. Test if this works.

 

Fix 4 – Disable the Low data mode in Wi-Fi settings

Apart from the low data settings in the Telegram app, you can there is a low data mode in the Wi-Fi settings, as well.

Step 1 – Go straight to the iPhone Settings page.

Step 2 – Next, go to the “Wi-Fi” page.

While the Wi-Fi doesn’t have any restrictions on the data, it will be easier for you to connect the calls on Telegram.

Fix 5 – Enable Camera, Microphone permission for Telegram

Necessary permissions are needed if you want to call others on Telegram.

Step 1 – Open Settings of your device. Then, reach the bottom and open the “Apps” category.

Step 3 – Enable the “Camera” and “Microphone” permissions.

Once these features are enabled, you can voice call or video calls others from the Telegram app.

Fix 6 – Update the Telegram app

If there is an update pending for Telegram, install it immediately.

Step 1 – To do this, you have to open the App Store page.

Step 2 – Simply, tap the profile picture on the Home page.

Step 4 – Tap “Update” to update it.

Once the update is installed, the problem with the calls should be gone.
