Is your iPhone has the maximum charging limit of 80%? A handful of iPhone users seems to have the same issue on their devices. If you are facing this issue at your end, don’t worry. Simply, this is not a problem but a feature on your iPhone. So, we recommend you follow these set of steps on the device to take care of this problem.
Fix 1 – Disable the Optimize battery feature
You can conserve the battery on your iPhone by putting a limiter on the maximum battery level. Just disable the ‘Optimize battery’ feature and you are good to go.
Step 1 – Start by going to the iPhone Settings.
Step 2 – Next, you must go to the “Battery” section.
Step 3 – Once you are in the Battery settings page, open up the “Battery Health & Charging” settings.
Step 4 – On the following page, look for the “Optimised Battery Charging” mode.
This is the settings that is responsible for limiting the battery level to 80%. Though this offers a better battery life, but you are leaving the 20% of the capacity.
Step 5 – Turn that to Off mode.
Once you do this, the battery charging level limiter will be revoked. Put the iPhone on charging and soon, the battery will be charged fully.
Fix 2 – Clean up the charging port
The accumulation of dust or any other foreign particles in the charging port on your iPhone can be the actual reason of the problem.
Step 1 – Lock the mobile.
Step 2 – Take a brush and use that to clean up the charging port on your iPhone.
Step 3 – Use the brush to gently clear up the charging port. If you see any foreign items there, brush it off to make the charging port clean.
Once you have cleared it off, you can start to charge the iPhone. See whether the battery meter is reaching 100% level.
Fix 3 – Check the battery capacity
Charging the iPhone to its full capacity is not possible if the iPhone’s maximum capacity has gone down significantly.
Step 1 – To do this, you must open the Settings page, first.
Step 2 – Next, open up the “Battery” panel there.
Step 3 – When the Battery panel appears, touch the “Battery Health & Charging” mode.
Step 4 – On this page, you will see the “Maximum Capacity” option there.
The percentage number that shows up there is the maximum capacity your iPhone’s battery currently offers.
This means that even when if you charge the iPhone to the maximum level (100%), you won’t get to charge it fully.
If you see a huge dip in the iPhone’s battery(80% or less), you should visit an authorized service center and get the iPhone a new battery.
Additional Tips –
1. You should use only the official charger, cable or wireless chargers to charge your iPhone. Using third-party chargers or cables for a long period can create this issue.
2. Close any battery-consuming application while charging the iPhone.
