Instagram story not uploading: How to fix

Facing issues uploading the Instagram story from your iPhone? The users who upload Instagram stories regularly may not face this problem, compared to those who are not regular. But, whatever category you are in, doesn’t matter. We have got these easy solutions for you to follow and get it fixed by yourself.

Fix 1 – Check if the network is working

The first thing you should check whether the network is functional or not.

Step 1 – There are many ways of checking this. Just open a browser.

Step 2 – Open any of the website of your choice or go to the Fast.com.

Step 3 – Check if the network is actually functional or not.

If this problem is not network oriented, continue uploading the story to the Instagram app.

Fix 2 – Edit the Story

In most of the cases, this problem in the Instagram story can be due to an incorrect audio track on the story. If your Instagram story contains a track that has some licensing issues or other problems, you can’t upload the Instagram story.

So, before uploading the Instagram story, try using a different audio track for the story.

If you can upload the story without any problem, we can know that the problem was music-oriented.

Additionally, if the Story contains a link to an external website and that link has some fault in it (expired or invalid), posting that to the Story can be problematic.

Fix 3 – Force Close the Instagram

Force-close the Instagram app. If this is just a one-time bug, restarting the Instagram app should stop this problem.

Step 1 – Open up to view all the apps on your iPhone.

Step 2 – Next, force-quit the Instagram app.

After closing the Instagram app, relaunch the same app.

Step 3 – Recreate the story and try to post it directly.

See if this one gets uploaded or not. If things have not sorted this out, you can follow the next solution.

Fix 4 – Use a different network

The problem may be directly linked with the network that you are using. So, you can consider a change in the network to sort this out. Suppose, you are trying to upload the story using Wi-Fi. So, the problem can get sorted if you use the cellular data on your iPhone.

Otherwise, you can use your friend’s hotspot to upload the story, as well. Check if this works out for you.
