We have received many reports from iPhone users reporting an issue where the incoming calls appear busy to others who are calling them and are not able to make any interaction.
This could be because the iPhone user must have blocked their contact, diverted the incoming calls, silenced the unknown numbers, etc. Having listed the above factors responsible for this problem and after researching them, we have found many troubleshooting tips to resolve this issue in the article below.
Don’t worry if you are also facing the same issue. Just try these fixes explained below.
Fix 1 – Unblock the Blocked Contacts
Step 1: Open the Settings app.
Step 2: Scroll down and select the Phone option by clicking on it.
Step 3: Now go to the bottom and tap on the Blocked Contacts option as shown in the below image.
Step 4: Here there will be a list of all the contacts you had blocked earlier on your iPhone.
Step 5: Swipe the blocked number to the left side and click Unblock on the right side end as shown.
Step 6: This will unblock the number.
Step 7: Now repeat the same to all the numbers from which you want to receive calls and messages.
Fix 2 – Check the Notifications Settings for Phone Calls
Step 1: First of all, go to the Settings app and look for the Phone settings from the list.
Step 2: Then click on it.
Step 3: Now select the Notifications option under the Allow Phone to Access section by clicking on it.
Step 4: Make sure you have enabled the notifications for phone calls by tapping on Allow Notifications toggle switch as shown below.
Step 5: Also change the other settings like Banner Style, Badges, etc. accordingly.
Fix 3 – Change the Silence Unknown Callers Settings
Step 1: Launch the Settings page.
Step 2: After the settings page appears, go to the Phone Settings.
Step 3: Now tap on the Silence Unknown Callers option.
Step 4: Here you need to disable the Silence Unknown Callers option by tapping on its toggle switch as shown in the below screenshot.
Fix 4 – Disable Call Forwarding Feature
Step 1: Go to your Settings app.
Step 2: Then move to the Phone option by clicking on it.
Step 3: Under the Calls section, tap on Call Forwarding.
Step 4: Wait for some time and when the page gets loaded, turn off the Call Forwarding option by clicking on it.
Fix 5 – Ensure Airplane Mode and Do Not Disturb modes are disabled
Step 1: Go to the Control Centre on your iPhone by swiping down from the top right side of the iPhone screen.
Step 2: After the Control Centre screen opens, tap on the Airplane Mode option at the top left corner to disable it.
Step 3: After that, click on the Focus option.
Step 4: Now make sure the Do Not Disturb option is not enabled.
Fix 6 – Reset Network Settings on your iPhone
If nothing goes your way in fixing this issue, you can try resetting the network settings on your iPhone. After you have reset the network settings on your iPhone, please restart your iPhone and check whether the issue has been fixed.
