Does your iPhone ringtone volume gets low on incoming calls? We have noticed some users have complained in various platforms about this problem where they seem to have this problem with the volume of the incoming calls. Solving this issue is very easy. You just have to follow the mentioned steps on your iPhone to resolve the issue.
Why the iPhone ringtone volume gets low on incoming calls?
iPhone has this set of features called ‘Attention Aware Features’ that it use to provide a unique experience to the iPhone users. It uses the Depth camera of the FaceID to analyze whether you are using your iPhone and changes the alert volume according to that. So, if you are looking towards the iPhone screen, the ringtone should sound lower than usual.
While this is the main reason behind this problem, there are always other possibilities like the device being mute or Focus Assist is enabled on the device.
Fix 1 – Disable the Attention Aware Feature
You have to turn off the Attention Aware features on your iPhone.
Step 1 – Only way you can do this is by opening the Settings.
Step 2 – Then, go to the “Face ID & Passcode” page.
You have to pass through using your 6-digit Apple Passkey.
Step 3 – Find the “Attention Aware Features” option and turn it off.
After turning it off, the ringtone problem will get resolved.
NOTE – The purpose of the Attention Aware features is not only limited to the volume level of the ringtone of your iPhone. This also works for alarms, reminder and other notifications as well. The ringtone volume that is sounding slightly lower than usual is limited to only the moments that you are looking at the screen, i.e. using the iPhone. So, you can just leave the ‘Attention Aware features’ as it and experience other benefits that it provides.
Fix 2 – Increase the device volume
Another common mistake that we do is to reduce the ringer volume. So, you should check the level of the volume and adjust it, if needed.
Step 1 – Just open the iPhone Settings.
Step 2 – Next, load up the “Sound & Haptics” pane.
Step 3 – Adjust the “Ringtone and Alerts” to the maximum level using the slider at the top.
This ensures the maximum ringtone level on your iPhone. Do check when someone dials up your number. It should ring at the maximum settings.
