But, labelling all the email messages individually can become monotonous very quickly. You have to go through all the emails and label them one-by-one. Doing this for one or two or even a few emails is possible, but when you are dealing with a bunch of random emails and have to do this on a daily basis, it can be tiresome. You can set up your Gmail inbox to move email message directly to the labels automatically. Labelling an email doesn’t remove it from the Gmail inbox. So, this method also takes care of that.
How to auto move emails to label on Gmail
We are going to sort the emails based on the sender’s address and label them using a filter.
Step 1 – At first, you will need the email sender address. So, open up any of the labelled emails that you want to remove.
Step 2 – Then, copy the sender address directly from the email message.
Step 3 – Tap the “Show search options” in the search box in the Gmail web client.
Step 4 – Now, paste this copied address in the ‘From:’ module.
Step 5 – Next, tap the “Create filter” to create a new filter.
This will take you to the next step, filter modification panel.
Step 6 – Now, check the “Apply the label:” box and tap the drop-down box.
Step 7 – You may create a new label for the email messages from the particular sender or, you can choose a label that you have created before.
Step 8 – If you have chosen to create a new label, name it properly and save the label on the Gmail.
