Step 1: Open the File Explorer
Press Win +E keys together on your keyboard.
Step 2: In the File Explorer to make sure hidden files/folders are visible
Navigate to View > Show > Hidden items as shown in the below picture.
Step 3: After the hidden items are visible
Copy & Paste the following path in the address bar of the File Explorer and hit Enter key.
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Packages
Step 4: In the Packages folder
Scroll down and look for folder by name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe
Select the folder and Press Shift + Delete keys together to permanently delete the folder.
Then, Click Yes to delete.
Now Restart your system and try using Microsoft Edge.

Fix 2: Repair Microsoft Edge by Windows PowerShell
Step 1: Open Windows PowerShell
Press Win key and type powershell.
Then Right-Click on the PowerShell app from the search results.
Click Run as administrator from the context menu.
Step 2: In the PowerShell application
Copy and Paste the below command and hit Enter key.
Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml" -Verbose}
Then, Close the PowerShell window.
Step 4: After closing PowerShell window
Open Microsoft Edge browser on your system.
Click on Three horizontal dots ( . . . ) at the end of address bar.
Step 5: Then, Click on Settings from the list.
Step 6: In the Settings page
Type reset settings in the search bar as shown below.
Then, Click on Restore settings to their default values.
Step 7: In the Reset Settings window
Click Reset as shown below.
Now try to relaunch the Microsoft Edge application and check if it works properly.

Fix 3: Repair Microsoft Edge from Programs & Features
Step 1: Open Programs & Features.
Press Win + R keys together on your keyboard to open run dialog box.
Type appwiz.cpl and hit Enter key.
Step 2: In the Programs and Features page
Look for Microsoft Edge and Select it.
Then, Right Click on it and select Change as shown in the below image.
Please click Yes on the UAC prompt to proceed.
Step 3: In the Repair window
Click Repair as shown below.
Microsoft Edge download window will appear and please wait till the download and re-installation process completes.
Then, Restart your laptop and check if the problem still persists.
