Can’t enable the FaceTime Live Photos option while you are on a FaceTime call? There is one particular fix that can solve the problem. You yourself can implement this solution and enable or disable the Live Photos feature in the FaceTime app settings.
Fix – 1 Hang up the call and change it
There are multiple settings that you can’t change in FaceTime when you are on active call. It doesn’t depend on whether you are performing a video call or a voice call, certain parameters of the FaceTime settings can’t be changed as they are still being used in the FaceTime app.
Step 1 – If you are on a FaceTime call, you have to disconnect the call on the FaceTime app.
Step 2 – So, end the call on your iPhone.
Step 3 – Later, open the Settings.
Step 4 – Next, load up the “Apps” panel.
Step 5 – Later, scroll down and access the “FaceTime” settings.
Step 6 – Now, in the FaceTime settings, you may enable/disable the “FaceTime live photos” option.
This way, you can take control of the FaceTime settings in this condition.
The same settings won’t get greyed out anymore.
Fix 2 – Update the iPhone
Got a missing iOS update pending on your iPhone? Installing can help you troubleshoot the iOS issue.
Step 1 – On your iPhone, touch the ⚙ button to open iPhone’s Settings.
Step 2 – Once you have opened the Settings page, go ahead and open the “General” option.
Step 3 – Look for the “Software Update” settings. Tap that to open that up.
Step 4 – If you find any impending update, install that update immediately.
Doing this should take care of the bug with the FaceTime app.
Do check whether you can actually turn on the FaceTime Live Photos option from the FaceTime settings.
