Calendar date wrong on Home Screen in iPhone: Fix

Does the Calendar date showing up wrong data on your iPhone? Having to see the wrong date on the Calendar settings can be disastrous. You will miss all the current and upcoming meetings, skip important events and so much more. So, fixing the Calendar should be on the top of the priority list. These solutions will be helpful in your case.

Why the Calendar is showing up the wrong date?

It is not normal to view wrong date and time settings in the Calendar app. You may see wrong meeting dates or events in the Calendar if you have multiple iCloud IDs or Gmail IDs. But, seeing the wrong date on the Calendar app is a completely different thing. The only fix that we have found is to reset the date and time settings from the manual settings to automatic mode.

 

Fix 1 – Change the date and time

We are going to apply a wrong date and time settings on the iPhone and then, reset the time and date settings back to the normal mode.

FIRST STEP 

Step 1 – Hit the ⚙button to go to the Settings page.

Step 2 – There, you have to find and open the “General” settings.

Step 3 – In the list of settings that, you can find the “Date & Time” settings and open that up.

Step 4 – At first, turn off the “Set Automatically” option*.

This should give you control over the date and time settings on your iPhone.

Step 5 – Current date and time settings should appear in there.

Step 6 – So, tap the date settings and set the date to a week back or a month back, anything you want.

Step 7 – Now, do the same thing with the time as well. Change it any way you want.

This concludes the steps of the first stage. Now, you must wait for a few seconds or up to a minute.

SECOND STEP

You have to restore the date and time settings on your iPhone.

Step 1 – Open the Settings and visit the “General” tab.

Step 2 – There, open up the “Date & Time” settings once more.

Step 3 – This time, turn on the “Set Automatically” option.

This way, iPhone will set the date and time settings on its own.

Go back and check the date in the Calendar. It should show you the correct date.

[*NOTE –  Some of the users may found this “Set Automatically” option is greyed out, along with this message –

The time zone cannot be set manually due to device restrictions.

You have to turn off the Screen Time Passcode to take control of the date and time settings on the device.

1. Reach the home page on the Settings window.

2. Next, open up the “Screen Time” settings.

3. Later, go down and open up the “Change Screen Time Passcode” option.

4. Next, tap the “Turn off Screen Time Passcode” option.

5. Provide the password there.

6. If any warning message comes up, ignore that and complete the process.

Once you are done, you can go back to the Date and Time settings and complete the rest of the process.
