Assistive Touch is a wonderful feature introduced by Apple to ease the user experience by allowing the use of shortcuts like accessing Siri, rotating the screen, taking screenshots, and going to the home screen without actually having to press the buttons of the iPhone physically.

Preliminary Fix
Restart your iPhone
Sometimes due to technical errors or software minor bugs, these kinds of problems occur on any iPhone. So rebooting the iPhone might resolve most problems that occur all of a sudden.
Fix 1 – Disable and then enable the Assistive Touch feature
Some iPhone users have claimed that they were able to resolve it by disabling the Assistive touch option and enabling it back again after waiting for some time. This is to eliminate any minor assistive touch problem within its settings on the iPhone.
Step 1: Open the Settings page on your iPhone.
Step 2: Then tap on the Accessibility page on the iPhone as shown in the below screenshot.
Step 3: Look for the Touch option and tap on it as shown.
Step 4: Now select the AssistiveTouch option by tapping on it.
Step 5: Tap on the AssistiveTouch toggle button to disable it as shown in the image below.
Step 6: Wait for some 30 seconds and after that, enable the AssistiveTouch feature by tapping on its toggle button again.
Step 7: After enabling it, check whether the AssistiveTouch feature is moving correctly on the iPhone screen or not.
Fix 2 – Reset Assistive Touch Menu
Some users have claimed that after they reset the Assistive Touch menu, it started working perfectly fine. So we recommend try applying this method by resetting the assistive touch customized menu as explained using the steps below.
Step 1: Open the Settings page on your iPhone.
Step 2: Then tap on the Accessibility option as shown below.
Step 3: Look for the Touch option and tap on it.
Step 4: Now select the Assistive Touch option at the top by tapping on it.
Step 5: Tap on the Customise Top Level Menu option as shown in the below screenshot.
Step 6: You will see that there is a Reset option at the bottom.
Step 7: Please tap on it which will reset the assistive touch menu on the iPhone.
Fix 3 – Change the Assistive Touch Idle Opacity
When you are not using the AssistiveTouch, it will fade away and visibility is reduced to the idle capacity set by the iPhone users. Ideally by default, the idle capacity value is set to 40% but for better visibility, it is better to change it to more than 40%.

Step 6: You may see that the Idle Opacity is showing at 40%. Please slide it towards the right side to increase it to around 50% or 60%.

Step 4: Tap on the Reset option as shown below.
Step 5: Select the Reset All Settings option from the list by tapping on it once as shown.
Step 6: To continue further, please enter your passcode when prompted on the screen.
Step 7: Please tap on Reset All Settings on the pop-up window to continue.
Step 8: This will start to reset all your iPhone settings without losing any personal data.
