Apple Watch users can directly control the tracks playing on the Apple Music directly from the watch. But, while a track is playing on Apple Music, the widget covers up the entirety of the watch face. So, some users may want this Apple Music controller widget to go away from the watch display.
Why the Apple Music is showing up on the Apple Watch?
The music controller widget that you get on your Apple Watch is a feature offered by the iOS ecosystem. The ‘Auto Launch audio apps’ facility automatically if any audio device in your proximity is playing an audio and offers an interacting audio controller widget. This works with Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, even with the third-party applications. You can play, pause or change tracks of the music directly from your Apple Watch.
But, there are times when you can control the music directly and don’t need the watch to do so. In that case, you can just put a stop on this automatic launch feature. After disabling this feature, you won’t see the music toggle on your Apple Watch again.
Fix – Disable the Auto Launch audio apps feature
You may disable the Auto Launch Audio Apps feature on the Apple Watch to fix the problem.
Step 1 – Tap the crown button on your Apple Watch. Gently tap it once or twice until the full list of apps opens up.
Step 2 – After it opens up, tap the “⚙” icon to reach the utility.
Step 3 – Once you have got there, go to the “General” tab.
Step 4 – After opening the General tab, scroll down and open up the “Auto Launch” category.
Step 5 – Here you shall find the “Auto-Launch Audio Apps” parameter there.
Step 6 – Tap to turn it off there.
After turning it off, the audio widget toggle won’t appear automatically on your Apple Watch.
NOTE – This is the universal controller for controlling all the audio-related equipments. So, you won’t be able to control your audio apps, while this feature is switched off.
