Does the videos on YouTube buffering continuously while you are on Wi-Fi? The reason why the websites taking time too much time to load is the poor Wi-Fi speed on your iPhone. The reason why the Wi-Fi speed feels so much slower can be many things. We have gone through all the possible scenarios and got these solutions for you.
Fix 1 – Disable the Low Data Mode
When you are on a metered connection, the low data mode can be useful. But, otherwise, the Low Data Mode can be disadvantageous.
Step 1 – Open up the Settings window.
Step 2 – When you reach the Home settings page, open the “Wi-Fi” panel.
Step 3 – Check out the list of Wi-Fi to find the one that you are connected to.
Step 4 – Then, tap the “ℹ” button to load up the Wi-Fi settings page.
Step 5 – Disable the “Low Data Mode” in there.
Once you have revoked the restriction off the Wi-Fi, there won’t be any speed limiter placed on the Wi-Fi.
Check the network speed once more.
Fix 2 – Configure the DNS manually
When the iPhone’s DNS settings are not set correctly, you can face issues with the network speed.
Step 1 – Simply scroll down once to access the Control Center.
Step 2 – Hold down “Wi-Fi” symbol there.
This will take you to the Wi-Fi module.
Step 3 – Once again, tap the “i” button next to the Wi-Fi.
Step 4 – Later, scroll down in search of the “Configure DNS” particular.
Step 5 – You must set this to “Manual” mode first.
Step 6 – Then, tap the “➖” button to delete the older DNS settings.
Step 7 – Once you have done that, tap the “Add server” button.
Step 8 – You have to configure DNS settings to the Google’s default DNS settings.
Step 9 – So, write this in the blank space –
8.8.8.8
Step 10 – Tap “Add Server” button.
Step 11 – Then, type the same address in there –
8.8.8.8
Step 12 – Finally, tap “Save” to save the server settings.
Step 13 – Open the Control Center and enable the “AirPlane” mode.
Step 14 – Wait for a few seconds and disable the Airplane mode.
Wait until the iPhone reconnects to the Wi-Fi. Then, re-open a Chrome tab and do a speed test.
Fix 3 – Turn off the Low Power Mode
The Low Power mode can be another reason why there is a speed limiter on the Wi-Fi speed.
Step 1 – Load up the Settings window, one more time.
Step 2 – Open the “Battery” settings.
Step 3 – Disable the “Low Power Mode” from there.
After disabling the low power mode, see the Wi-Fi network speed once again. Check if this works out.
Fix 4 – Reset your iPhone’s network settings
If the Wi-Fi network is not offering the usual speed, you must reset the network configuration to fix it.
Step 1 – Visit the Settings page.
Step 2 – Go to the “General” option.
Step 3 – Later, scroll down and tap the “Transfer or reset iPhone” option.
Step 4 – Touch the “Reset” option, later.
Step 5 – Tap the “Reset network settings” option to fix that.
You can complete the rest of the process yourself. Input the passcode that you use to unlock your iPhone after it reboots and confirm your action.
When the network resets, you have to input the Wi-Fi password to reconnect to it. See if this works!
