The driver being installed is not validated for this computer

Drivers in systems are chipset specific, though system manufacturer’s design them as well. Usually, the main chip components, especially the processor are manufactured by Intel. However, when users try to update the drivers which are usually Intel’s own drivers, they might get the error:

The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. The Driver Being Installed Is Not Validated For This Computer

The reason behind this error is that some system manufacturer’s like HP want to force users into downloading the drivers from their own websites. In order to do so, they make it difficult to download the drivers from Intel’s website.

This is especially true with graphic drivers, even more when you are using a dedicated graphic card. I have always suggested to download graphic drivers from the manufacturer’s website, however, if you wish to use Intel’s drivers, the same could be forced.

Solution 1] Try to update the drivers automatically from Intel’s website instead of updating them

1] Navigate to Intel’s downloadcenter and click on Automatically update your drivers.

2] Let the process update the drivers and then restart the system.

Solution 2] Force installation of Intel drivers

1] Download the drivers from Intel’s website here.

2] Press Win + R to open the Run window. Type the command devmgmt.msc and press Enter to open the Device manager.

3] As mentioned above, this issue is mostly with graphic drivers, so expand the display adapters column and check for the driver you wish to reinstall.

4] Right-click on the driver and select Update driver.

5] It would give 2 options. One would be to search for the drivers automatically and the second would be “Browse my computer for driver software.”

6] On the next window, select the option “Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.”

7] Click on Have Disk on the right-bottom of the screen.

8] Click on browse and select the drivers you installed from Intel’s website, wherever they have been stored.

9] Allow the installation process to complete and restart the system.

Note: The drivers have a prominent size and the reason it would be suggested to download Intel drivers instead of those from the manufacturer’s website is that Intel keeps updating versions to fit latest games. The same could be checked from Intel’s downloadcenter page mentioned above before deciding whether or not it would be a good idea to download the drivers.

Hope it helps!
