Can’t send messages from the Telegram app on your iPhone? If that is the case, you can feel slightly relieved that you are not the only one who had this problem. The primary purpose of the Telegram app is to send and receive messages. So, solving this problem should be at the top of your priority chart.
Fix 1 – Ask them to unblock you
If you try to send messages to an account which has already blocked you on Telegram number, the messages won’t get delivered. Just like on other social media platforms, the sender can’t get your messages if your number is blocked. You have to ask the recipient to unblock you on Telegram.
Fix 2 – Update the Telegram app
Check if there is an update pending for the Telegram app, check if this works.
Step 1 – Go to the App Store.
Step 2 – Next, tap your Apple ID picture on the corner.
There you will find the list of apps that are pending an update.
Step 3 – Check if there is an update pending for the “Telegram Messenger” app.
Step 4 – Next, tap “Update” to update the app.
Once you have updated the Telegram app, you have to resend those messages.
So, check if this has solved the problem or not.
Fix 3 – Revoke mobile data restriction
If there are any mobile data restrictions placed over the Telegram app, and you are not near any Wi-Fi, none of the messages (incoming or outgoing) will pass through.
Step 1 – To check the current condition, you must go to the Settings.
Step 2 – So, open up the “Cellular Service” or “Mobile Service” settings.
Step 3 – Tap the “Show All” button to view the complete list of apps that has or has not any access to the mobile service.
Step 4 – Next, scroll down and look for the “Telegram” app.
Step 5 – See if the mobile data service is not available for the app or not. If the permission is turned off, turn that on.
Resend those pending messages once again. Do check if this works out and problem gets fixed.
Fix 4 – Turn on the Background App Refresh feature
The Background App Refresh features take care of the messages of the Telegram app. So, if that feature is turned off for Telegram, none of the messages will come or go.
Step 1 – Load up the Settings window, once again.
Step 2 – Next, go to the “Apps” pane.
Step 3 – Among all the apps list, find the “Telegram” app.
Step 4 – Later, tap that to open it up.
Step 5 – Inside the Telegram settings page, turn on the “Background App Refresh” feature.
Once you have done this, you won’t face any problems with the Telegram app.
See if this works for you.
