Telegram keeps crashing on iPhone: Fix

Does the Telegram app keep crashing on your iPhone? There are a ton of possible reasons why the Telegram app can falter on your device. Basically, if you are using an older version of the app, this problem can affect you. Start from these basic solutions and try these solutions and check whether if the Telegram app is still crashing or not.

 

Fix 1 – Turn off any proxy connection

The Telegram app can crash all of a sudden if there are some problems with the proxy settings.

Step 1 – Load the Telegram app.

Step 2 – Tap theĀ  “⚙Settings” tab to go to the Telegram settings.

Step 3 – There, scroll down a bit and open up the “Data & Storage” settings on Telegram.

Step 4 – In the same page, slide to the bottom and open up the “Proxy Connection” setting.

Step 5 – If you have set any proxy connection in there, it will show up in this page. This proxy setting is the main culprit in this case of Telegram app crash issue.

Step 6 – Now, what you have to do is to remove any and all the proxy settings from there.

Step 7 – To do that, tap the “Edit” icon on the top.

Step 8 – Tap the “➖” icon before the server and tap “Delete” to remove that.

Step 9 – Click the “Done” button to save that.

Step 10 – Do this with all the proxy settings present there.

Step 11 – The final step in this process is to close the Telegram app once and re-open up the Telegram app.

Fix 2 – Force restart your iPhone

If this doesn’t fix your issue, a force-restart of the device may help.

Step 1 – The first thing you have to do is to close all the current apps on your iPhone.

Step 2 – In the next step, click the Volume Up button one time and release that.

Step 3 – Next, you have to do the same with the Volume Down button: pinch and release that one too.

Step 4 – The final step is very important. Press and hold that Power button in there and keep on pressing that.

When the iPhone does get restarted, give the Telegram app a try. Check if this works.

 

Fix 3 – Uninstall and reinstall the Telegram app

Uninstall the Telegram app and reinstall it on your iPhone.

Step 1 – Find the “Telegram” app. Otherwise, you can do a manual search to find that as well.

Step 2 – Next, hold down the app there and click “Remove App“.

Step 3 – Later, get to the App Store.

Step 4 – Next, type the “Telegram” app and install it from there.

Later, log into the Telegram app. Try using the app and check.
