You must use the same Apple ID on Apple Watch and iPhone.
Step 1 – To do this, open up the Settings client on your iPhone.
Step 2 – Tap the Apple ID banner on the Settings page to open it up.
Step 3 – See the Apple ID credentials in there.
Step 4 – Notice the Apple ID from the Settings page.
Step 5 – Now, tap the digital crown of your watch.
Step 5 – Open the Settings on your watch from there.
Step 6 – When you have opened the Watch Settings page, tap the Apple ID in there.
Step 7 – Check whether you have the same Apple ID there.
If you don’t see the same Apple ID there, you have to make sure that you are using the same Apple ID. Log in using the same Apple ID on both the devices.
Step 7 – You must restart your Apple Watch and iPhone normally. Shut down both the devices and restart both of them after a while.
Once you have signed in, you won’t see the same error message again.
Fix 2 – Try installing an app
The main problem here is bound to your Apple ID. You have to force-reckon the Apple ID on the watch using the iPhone.
Step 1 – Load up the Watch app on your iPhone.
Step 2 – On the Watch app, get to the “My Watch” tab.
Step 3 – While you are in there, scroll down to the bottom of the page. Get to ‘Available Apps‘ section.
Step 4 – Tap “Install” beside any of the apps.
Step 5 – Now, you will get the Apple ID error message directly on the Apple Watch. This is due to the Apple ID mismatch.
Step 6 – Now, go to your iPhone and delete the same application from your iPhone.
Step 7 – Now, install the same app from App Store on your iPhone. But, you have to make sure the Apple ID is the same on your iPhone and Apple Watch.
NOTE – Apparently, if you don’t have any apps to install on the Apple Watch, you can just try to give them ratings. When you try to give them ratings on App Store, it will automatically request your Apple ID credentials. You have to log in using those credentials and complete the process.
Fix 3 – Force restart the device
You must force-restart your Apple Watch to finish the issue.
Step 1 – Take your Apple Watch, and press-hold the side button and digital crown together.
Step 2 – Pressing these two buttons together for 10–15 seconds will force-restart the watch. You have to stop pressing the buttons once you see the Apple Logo on the screen.
When the Apple Watch becomes operational, you won’t see the same sign-in message again. Check whether this one takes care of your problem.
