Oblivion Remastered Low FPS or lagging on PC – How to fix

Fix 1 – Remove the sc.pcl.dll file

The Elder Scrolls Oblivion seems to runs on the Unreal Engine 5. So, the game is not automatically optimized for the medium or low-end PC. That is the reason you are having this problem.

Step 1 – Quit the Elders Scrolls Oblivion game on your computer.

Step 2 – Now, reach this folder –

Step 3 – Once you are there, find the “sc.pcl.dll” file there.

Step 7 – According to your VRR/G-Sync/Freesync status, tap the “Manual download” to get the correct Engine.ini file.

Step 9 – Cut/Copy the file from there.

Step 11 – Once you have reached the location, paste or replace the “Steam.ini” file there.

 

After doing this, restart Steam or GOG. You will see a significant increase in the fps of the game.

Step 5 – Save the changes in the game.
